I would recommend the following 1. Get a demon with life leeching, and equip and activate it during battle (get some free sustain) 2. Use a fire element weapon 3. Summon the Fire Imp Beast, or equip it to cast fire spells 4. Bring more potions! (A must for boss battles...) These methods are quite effective in defeating the tree boss. HINT: Also, there is no cost to upgrade some of the early game weapons/armor.
Thanks a bunch for the advice. I'm still working out the best demon configuration so your advice is helpful. Is there any location to buy potions from where I'm at in the storyline? Because it looks like the shops are abandoned...
There is one water demon in the Shadow city that its spell is extremely potent in defeating the final boss. At the same time I'll always recommend demons with the ability of life leeching.
Possible glitch So I'm on the quest where I'm supposed to empower all the elemental pedestals in the order of fire, wood and water. When I defeated the fire bird boss at the area with the fire pedestal and collected all of the fire shards, I am no longer able to leave the area. Is this a glitch or am I just missing something here? I've looked around the area that I'm stuck in for quite some time and I can't find anything else that I'm supposed to do there... This is a really nice game and I would really like to finish it so any helpful replies would be appreciated, thanks!

Finally got around to beating that stupid tree ent. Grind a few levels, killed the first form without too much trouble. The first clone, I spamed fireballs, life leeches, and summons, while burning through all my minor hp potions (which heals little to nothing and were pretty much supplying me with one hp just to survive.) On the second troll, I stand at a distance and pretty resolve to being cheat at him. Burned through my mp potions while spamming fireballs and the 1 hp regen... Sigh, I hate endurance boss fights. -.- Maybe, now I can bring myself back to the game after bypassing this roadblock. I noticed there's a daily Soulstones bonus now, so that makes happy. Ps: I probably should've just brought more pots.
Yes -.- that tree ent is a pain.. Actually, whenever you see the glittering stone on the ground, it usually means that there's a boss battle around. (But some bosses are in the city! ) Therefore, it's always good to buy some more health pots and save the game regularly! PS Today's daily bonus is Soulstones and Demonsouls is going free today.

DemonSouls I am a new player and got little problem. I need to get a dragon scale spear. It is a side quest but I wan to finish it. It's in the southern area of the town, it's a shiny spot. Look for a gold dot near the beach at the bottom of the town
Hi there I really enjoy the game, but I am stuck at the point I have to find the World Pillar Water Pedestal. At the world pillar, I go east passed a section of blue water sharks into a second similar section. At this point I get the message "great! head east to the world pillar water pedestal! You will find it there!" I find three inactivated pedestals which do nothing at all. also, there is no other exit out of this map section. When I try to go for fire and wood pedestals, the game says I must do them in the correct order. Am I facing a bug or just can't figure out what to do?! Any help will be appreciated! Cheers!
