Hey gents ... hard at work this weekend. Here's a shot of another new Undead creature that will be in the next major content update: Screen Shot 2015-08-22 at 6.14.54 PM by Rajpreet Dhillon, on Flickr This is what Vampire's look like in the world of Demon's Rise. I wanted to move away from the human-like aspect and go with a more feral, bat creature. The creature will be tough and unlike most of the new undead, will be very fast. We haven't decided on the abilities it'll have yet. Thinking of the following: - Drain enemy life to replenish its own health - Summon swarms of bats around its enemies to distract them and cause damage - Some kind of Scream effect that harms enemies nearby and perhaps drains their action points? Give us your thoughts. There will also be a giant bat creature that will accompany this guy as his henchmen / minions. We may do the more traditional human vampire as well. Let me know if you guys want to do a human form vampire as well. If you have ideas on its abilities or its stats, do let me know as well. Regarding the next update, I think we'll push out a bug fix update at the end of the week that includes as much of the new functionality requested here as we can get done. The Dragon Hunter is already done and included in the current build on my computer so it will include that new character too. However, I won't include the new undead levels .. those will be released as a major update once they've been thoroughly tested. Happy weekend, everyone. Hope you guys are enjoying.
Looking good. How about red eyes on the bat vampire? Problem again. just went to play the next quest into the catacombs, the one where it says we cant control the creature, the Reaper Lord. All my attack points at 1 again. Left battle and went to shop, all my gear is gone again. Looks like it was not the old ios which is the problem. I have been running different teams each time, only the archer and storm sear have been in each time. I am going to reinstall and try a different save slot, see if it is corrupting the save.
I tried replicating it today and am not running into this issue. I checked with the play testers and they never ran into anything like this issue during the last six months of testing. There's something about this that just doesn't sound right. You said you start your levels with 1 action point (or is it attack?) and that your items disappear. All of that information is stored in a single save file and I searched for all code instructions that modify action points, attacks and item gear. There is no code that affects that save file in the catacomb levels. So I can't understand why any kind of change would kick in at that point. Can we discuss this over PM? We can set up a Skype session and you can show me exactly what is happening on your device. Without being able to replicate it or at least see what exactly is happening on a real device, it's impossible to figure out if it's an issue with my code or if there's perhaps something wrong with your device that's causing a save file to be corrupted. In the mean time, I'll try create several more teams that include the archer and storm seer and again try to replicate it.
That EXACT thing happened to me after entering this Reaper Lord battle. . All my heroes become level 1 in the battler and lost all gear. It's frustrating and I hesitate to play since I don't know whether all my days of hard work will be lost again..... On ther other hand, I hope It has the abiliity to rollback the progress to privous good state or be able to save status to two slots as a backup. This is a premium game, don't need to worry about player cheating. Or maybe a report problem button to be able to email the log file to dev for debugging. I do like this game a lot. Until day 3 catacomb. It's fun to slaughter 20+ goblins in one battle which is quite different than WHQ (not so many enemies) and WH DeathWatch (wave by wave, and also grinding a lot). This game reminds me of the Pool of Radiance I played 20+ year ago. Thank you Dev. All of the enemies and the dungeons I saw so far looks so great. I am surprised to see the green Hydra. And the sound effect of killing a goblin is hilarious! Suggestions: - As mentioned by others, the camara and zoom in/out is not smooth which dev is fixing it. - The picture before entering battler is stretched, (circle on the top becomes oval) , the quality of the picture is not sharp (not good) comparing to the enemy 3D model in the battle. - The equipment UI can be better. I have to click on my heros one by one to find out which hero can use the new gear and also I need to "click and unclick" to compare the new gear stats with the existing ones. I hope there is a simple way to show which heros can equip the gear. and when I click on one hero, it shows the both stats for current epuipped gear and the new gear. Also, when clicking the screen, the gear is pick up righ away. So I have to touch/click the screen again to put it down. It would be good if the pickup action triggers onlye when the finger touches the screen for 2 ~ 3 seconds. - I prefer to have the sound effect for foot step. - During the battle, when I click on a monstor (even I can not attack it), I can see its stats right away without one more click on the monstor's icon at top right corner to see its detail) I hope there was a dwarf underground Map to show all the partrol and Quests locations. A big map like the one in HBO Game of Thrones Intro will look fantasic. Player can go do different location (patrol dungeon() on the map and "see" how big the dwarf dungeon world is. I guess It would be lots of work but really cool to show the hero's 3D model with the gear s/he wear during the battle. In order to see heor's stats/gears, I need to go to Shop first, Hope there is a button on the main screen to go to the equipment screen, something similar to the WHR. $2,99 is really undersale this game even on promotion period. I am perfectly fine with the WHR IAP models to buy the the good quality of expensions. (still hoping Rodeo to release the 3rd land expension for WHR) After all, dev got to eat . Wish a big success! I made the mistake of doubting the Touch Arcade community ... a thousand pardons. This issue is definitely real and will be fixed asap.
I passed that part twice ( once on iPad mini 2, & once on iPad Air). And I've never had that happen. Take a video and that'll better help the developers

I'm having the same issue with day 3 and missing gear. Ipad Air 2 64gb,i have tried reinstalling and updating my ios software and still encountered the issue. I'm also a first time poster who enjoyed the game enough to take time out of my day to post for the first time hoping for a way to fix the problem. I really like the game you have created and imagine it is frustrating to troubleshoot something you can't recreate. Please don't assume spam or malice in people posting here looking for solutions.
Sorry ... I can't do anything unless you can help me recreate it. Record a video or send me a PM to set up a Skype session and I'll happily look into it. Until then, I'm afraid I can't spend resources looking into an issue I (and others) can't reproduce.
Fortunitely, this issue can still be reproduced on my iPad. In the recording, the heros' levels are at 4 ~ 5, but in the day 3 Reaper lord battle, the heros level is 1.
Absolutely loving this game! Having read through this thread I am glad to say I have not come across any game breaking problems, but am glad to see the dev doing their best to address any and all issues. Well done! I'll try not to repeat any other recommendations posted but I do agree with most, but one suggestion I would make (or repeat) is better inventory management. In particular - weapons. It's nice to find upgrades in the loot box, but figuring out who can use it can be a bit of a hassle, and if it is an upgrade at all. Perhaps you can implement an item comparison check and use green numbers and letters for an increase in value and red for decrease. Like how Diablo III shows which stats you'll be gaining and which you'll be losing. Also maybe use flair (ie flashing portrait, twinkling stars, something noticeable) to identify who can use it. I have not tried equipping trinkets on any other class if the flavor text says Wizard, but, if it isn't already implemented, let there be a way to tell who can use what piece. Again, green or red perhaps. Checks or 'X's, or up and down arrows. Inventory is by no means horrendous. Just a tad cumbersome. One thing I do absolutely enjoy is the Patrol option. I'm a sucker random battles and leveling my characters and patrolling is a great way for me to do it. Kudos for implementing that! This game is a steal and an undeniable gem imo. Congrats on a job well done and can't wait to see where you take us.
Same issue here. New members with a common issue is not suspicious. When something goes wrong, you turn to google! I'll try to describe again what happens with my game, because it's slightly different: I've been getting a lot of crashes with the game overall and this level crashes every time. When I get to the Reaper Lord level of day 3, the characters all appear "reset" to their baselines. No additional effects from items, or level up bonuses, nothing. My archer with 13 attacks only has 1. My Giant only has 1 attack. Same as my dwarf, etc. No one has the AP to cast any more than the 2 starting skills. And so on. They seem "reset" to zero. Potentially the game doesn't pull the item and level data correctly, I don't know how it's programmed. But the issue is real. I'm on an iPad 4th generation, OS 8.4. I don't lose any gear after the game crashes and I can play the Ruins battles with all the gear and stats as normal. The problem is that one battle, for me at least.
Could that be an iOS issue? Is any of you three on a jailbroken device? I'm still on iOS 8.3 with my Air1, will need a day or two to play and see if I get the same error. Can you (Echoseven, forchy, blujay) PM me your party members, so I can try with more or less the same group?
I'll just say it out here, for everyone to see: Tree Giant Illusionist Dwarf Iron Guard Half Giant Archer Storm Seer No jailbreak. The level runs fine for a little bit, then crashes.the party loads into the level already crippled though. One thing I did (which I will not give instructions for in the open) is the bug in the store where you can "steal" an item without paying for it. That may have something to do with it. The problem is clearly with that level though, and my old iPad 4 may be too slow to run it anyway.
Okay, that's what I need. Perhaps the load stats script isn't kicking off on that level. I'll look into it.
I think I found the issue ... there was some garbage files in the scene that might have caused. I will do a bit more testing on my end and then I'll request a fast bug fix update from Apple. Thanks for bringing this to light and I apologize for thinking you were a spambot.
To everyone else playing the game, I strongly recommend avoiding the undead levels until I can push out the bug fix. When you start the undead levels, I'd recommend just playing various patrol levels until this is fixed. There should be around 30+ patrol levels opened up at that point so plenty to keep you guys busy. Apologies for the inconvenience ... I'll try to get the bug fix out as soon as possible. I'll also go and check later levels to make sure the same sort of thing isn't present there too.
