Thousands of new items added to the shop and dungeons to collect and equip. - (Enhancement) Improved lighting graphics that make characters brighter and more easily distinguished from the background. - (Enhancement) Audio Mixer added to the audio that prioritizes character voices over sound effects and background music. - (Enhancement) Completely revamped divine favor list to effects that are much more balanced. - (Enhancement) Optimizations in memory to reduce RAM usage and thus lower frequency of crashes on 1GB devices. - (Enhancement) Improvement to graphics settings so the high polygon versions of characters are shown more intelligently. - (Game Balance) Some summoning spells have been replaced with new abilities for game balance. - (Bug Fix) Fixed a bug where sometimes the game would crash or behave strangely when selecting a target for a line or cone ability. - (Bug Fix) Fixed an issue where magic items would be lost randomly. - (Bug Fix) Large number of minor bug fixes.
Awesome!... This will be my final play thru. I don't recall spending this much time on an iphone/ipad game. Tells you how much i love your game
This game has got to receive an award from TA as one of the best developer supported titles post release. Great game and loving the addition of the world map and lore as well as the new graphics and sound changes are sharp.
Thanks ... that really made my day. Maybe the update Monday awards can be renamed to "Most Demon Rise Award" as opposed to "Most Amazing Spider Mans". I'll suggest that to the TA guys. If I could ask everyone to update their app store reviews, that would be great. The reviews basically get erased after each update, which is kind of unfortunate for premium games. Also, please do pass along suggestions for improvement. I want to keep improving this and future games.
Really love the new kit in the last release. One problem though- Steel Golem is the only encounter i get. On IOS 10 6+. Also- any chance to reset the campaign mode with existing team? I know you mentioned that something thats possible and no worries if it cant make the current game, just asking.
Damn ... I think I might have left some testing code in this release that breaks something. I just noticed that the 4th patrol level crashes on load due to some other issue. I'll probably have to submit another patch immediately to fix this. Just to confirm, are you saying that every time you click on "Patrol", it always sends you to the patrol level with the giant steel golem?
For the campaign reset, I was thinking I would actually add the functionality from demon's Rise 2 to this game that allows you to replay any campaign level already completed. It's a nicer way of doing it but requires more work so I figured I'd do that in the next major update.
Yep ... found the bug. The Patrol Levels are completely broken in this release. I'm really sorry about that. It was just one line of code that I had changed for testing a level and then forgot to change back. I'll submit a fix first thing tomorrow.
Ok ... I fixed on my end. Just waiting for my computer to make a new build and I'll then submit a new update to Apple.
That seems odd ... I can't think of anything else that changed that should cause crashes. I may have done something else wrong in this build so let me check everything out before I push out the update. Otherwise, I am considering an internal redesign that should significantly reduce the memory usage of the game. At the moment, I keep all abilities / spells / skills in a single massive database. This includes things like all the audio clips of every character when they perform a skill and the special effect that is generated and so on. I'm realizing now that this was a bad design since it loads unnecessary files into memory. I'm going to try and change this design for the next major update. I can't do it as quick change because it could unravel a lot of things.
Hi! Started playing this game in prep for game 2. I don't know why I couldn't get into it before but now I am loving it! I think I encountered the patrol crash bug too. I just finished area 1 and wanted to do a patrol or two for some gear and it hard crashes every time I try to patrol. I haven't had any other crashes. Any ETA on patch and/or game 2?? Great work!
Thanks for the kind words. I just submitted the fix update this morning. I had submitted it yesterday but for some reason it just disappeared from Apple's servers. Never saw that happen before. Anyway, it's sitting in Apple's review queue now so it should be available for download on Monday or Tuesday. They have been really quick in their review process lately.
Just wanted to say I REALLY enjoy this game. I love turn-based tactical games and really was hoping for one that would have a forgiving learning curve and a quick mobile play appeal. Well done! I can see from all the posts and your replies that you are an indie developer just like myself, so all the best with the second one, I will definitely try that out right after this. I think I may have encountered a bug but I haven't yet been able to pinpoint what caused it: all my level 6 characters lost their hats and amulets (all 3 top equipment slots became empty). Is that a known issue? I occasionally win after a player or two died, would that trigger item loss?
