    It was just for the character swapping I thought it would be good to be able to tell one giant slayer from my other. But I guess most people don't have this problem.

    That's a shame that it doesn't re-roll when you swap. For one thing it would allow someone to 're-roll' their level up stats by swapping out to the same class.

    Also, I assume that each class has a different table for their progress stats?

    For example: a melee character levels up and gets attacks, hit and crit chance generally. But if then swapped him for a caster I'd end up with a crappy caster with less ap but really good at melee.

    That is somewhat true ... by switching out a higher level character from a mage to a fighter, you'd end up with stat bonuses on the fighter that would perhaps be more suitable to a mage. However, it's not a huge difference and it's also much easier from a coding perspective. I also wanted to leave a path to switch back to the earlier character if players want. If I re-roll then it becomes much more complicated or impossible to go back to an earlier character.

    Hey guys ... I took another stab at making abilities scale by level and I seem to have gotten it working! Turns out I was almost there when I tried earlier so getting it done wasn't too hard. I'll go back and tweak the abilities that directly modify health and action points and have them scale by level instead. This will usually mean they'll do less at level 1 than they do currently but by level 2 or 3 it will be roughly balanced and by level 4+, it will be more than they currently do.

    I'm hoping that keeps them well balanced.

    Characters with 100% hit spend a lot of time missing.

    Yeah, it's really badly labelled. It's not really % chance to hit any more. Its more like a skill value that ranges from 0 to 200. The hit formula is:

    Chance to hit = Skill - (target dodge + cover bonus + terrain dodge bonus)

    However, the hit chance is capped between 15% and 85%.

    I'll remove the % from the statline and make this clearer.

    Also, im going to increase the base hit chance of all player characters by 10 or 15 in the next patch. Watching the stream,i can see that the early game is too hard with the new enemy ai and abilities.

    I was playing a quest mission and during an auto-zoom animation on an attack (special skill with my half-giant), the game just froze and stayed zoomed. I quit the game from the app switcher. I tried to reload the game, and I chose to resume the auto save, it just crashed the app. I tried twice, and even rebooted my rMini iPad. No change. When I reloaded back to camp it was fine.

    An unrelated suggestion would be to add some sort of sorting to the Buy Supplies screen. It's fun to have so much loot to choose from, but a little tedious to have to go through all the weak items when your characters are at high level.

    COMBAT SAVE isn't working.

    I go back to a combat and all my characters don't have the bonus stats from levelling up. They all have base stats. Even after I skip a turn they still have base stats.

    Goes back to Normal when you return to camp. Very annoying as I was an hour into a big map which i couldn't complete.

    That's interesting ... Ill take a look and fix. It's a new feature and very complex so will take a little while to iron out.

    Ill try and reproduce the issue with the action cam crash and fix. In the mean time, you can switch off the action cam in the options so it wont happen again.

    Having items in the shop increase by level as the party grows in level is a good idea. I should be able to do that in the next patch.

    Ffs: I must have hit new game (bouncy in the train) and made a new game over my current save.


    So annoyed. Can you look at making th warning message clearer/different colour or something.

    I can't be arsed to play until I can file share my old save


    Edit: sorry, looked again and there is a warning message. But it's on the wrong side of the screen. Everything happens on the left hand side on the screen. People don't pay as much attention to the right - think of the way people view webpages. Or how we've become used to tuning the right side of a page out because it's usually ads.

    So I hit another bug with the auto save. The game crashed mid battle, so I closed everything, loaded the auto save, and then everyone had just one attack. I realized when I looked closer, that all the characters were basically back at first level! It was very odd. I restarted the level and everyone was fine. Annoying for sure though. It'll get there.

    Started another party - sorry but the random stats increases just don't work. Doesn't become a game of skill, or tactics. It's luck based on how many attacks you roll.

    Playing on easy to try to level again - it's stupidly hard. Two grenades and it's a party wipe.
    My party couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel

    Yeah, i knew about the 1 attack but i thought i had fixed it before submission. I must have missed that. I'll get a fix out for the mid game save not working on levelled characters as soon as i can.

    From watching the live steam, I realize that the grenades are too strong for a low level party. Im going to tone them down a bit and also add 3 or 4 easier levels in quest 1 so as to ease players into the game.

    I actually added 4 easy patrol missions that always play first. I need to do the same for the quest levela as well.

    I suggest hiring a mercenary. They will help you fight through the early levels and will givr your party members a chance to level up. The freeblade or marksman are probably the best.

    Agreed, I've put in some code that will grant extra attacks at level 3, 6 and 9. This'll be in the next update, which I will submit end of next week.

    Had a bad time yesterday as you could probably tell.

    Do the mercenaries last for just one patrol?
