Next patch. That would be Apples policy that patches removes all previous reviews. Happy to post another though.
Since new patch Hey, Love the game and enjoy reading this thread Since the new patch, I keep getting drop out randomly I'm up to day 3 and the episode where all the undead are summoning a ravager lord and lose control of it I can't get past this as now as it just keeps dropping out of the game and doesn't seem to be a hard trigger Wether my pyromancer through so out an area of effect or my dwarf gives himself crit immune and armour it just cut out completed Anyone else having any trouble, anything I should do... I guess I could uninstall and reinstall ?
The update appears to have broke the vendors shop, on my game at least. That or I'm missing something. The vendors box doesn't show up anymore. Love the game by the way. Have finished the quest with four different teams now looking for that perfect combination of abilities.
That doesn't sound good. Don't uninstall the game ... I doubt that would help. Let me submit the next patch today. I can perhaps ask Apple to rush it out if v1.3 has some issues. It's tough because Apple take so long to review that I have no way of going back and checking what might be causing a reported issue. The version on my machine is already several iterations ahead of the version on your device.
yikes ... that's really not good. Okay, I'll definitely push out another patch today and ask Apple for a speedy review. Not sure if they'll do it but hopefully they will.
Thanks Cool, I've tried a dozen times now - bugger I'll wait for the patch Gotta say the pyromancer is my fav so far That Phoenix spell is killer! My ranger is also a snipering assassin, can only imagine the archer is even more deadly... Will have to try soon
You've got something pretty special here. Feedback on something though: if your game has an exploit in it, like the vendor thing, don't tell people how to do it in the patch notes... People will skip the patch temporarily while exploiting like mad. It's enough to just say what the exploit generally did, like "you can no longer steal from the vendor" Otherwise, enjoying the game quite a bit. Only complaints would be the disparity in gold drop value vs useful item prices, and how weird targeting feels. Maybe it's just me but its kinda hard to tell when a spell is being aimed (and seeing where it will hit) and when it's being immediately fired. I hit my own guys plenty with AoEs just trying to plan where to fire. No idea how to fix that tho...
Sorry for the trouble. If the random crashes are happening due to different events, then it seems like an issue in the underlying game engine (Unity 5.1.3). Unfortunately the Unity game engine is very buggy at the moment because they went through a major version upgrade. However, I have upgraded the underlying Unity engine and I haven't run into any random crashes at all. So hopefully the next patch built using the latest version of Unity will fix that issue. As a suggestion, if the crashes occur sometimes when an ability is used on that level, perhaps try reducing the difficulty to EASY and then see if you can play the level without using any spells or abilities? That may allow you to get past the level and then perhaps the next level won't crash. Alternatively, you can try creating a new team and starting again. Hopefully the crashes won't occur ... would be helpful to know, actually.
Thanks ... I'm planning to add some more descriptions on the ability box that will explain things like cooldown time, targeting vs. non-targeting, area of effect, number of remaining uses and so on.
DEV. I think it would be good if you had a level selection screen where we can replay levels so we can level up our character and gain loot and items as well. Because some stages are hard and I'm stuck in area 3 with the huge undead boss.
My current team is archer, gnome, centaur, assassin, Mage guy(the shirtless dude), dragon slayer. What are other good team combos? I want to make another save slot with a diff team.
That's already there. The "Patrol Ruins" button plays a random battle level that is meant to allow you to gain XP, gold and loot. A lot of the patrols are actually really fun levels too as they allow you to use new unit types (as allies) and face some new enemies that aren't in the main quests. There are also more unusual scenarios like raiding enemy camps, holding a line against a tide of enemies and so forth. Each time you click the "Patrol Ruins" button, you play a different level so if you run into a patrol that is too hard, just try it again and it'll give you a different level to play.
Sounds pretty decent. I'd recommend taking 2 fighters, 2 mages and 1 archer and 1 big guy (Tree Giant, Golem, Half Giant, etc.)
Ok cool yeah I saw the patrol quests and I beat the wyvern, but I thought there was only a few of them. So cool, I'll do a few of those to level up a bit.
The response is greatly appreciated. Thank you. I have deleted and reinstalled the game and still have the problem. Playing on an I phone 6 if that helps any.
maybe better weapon diversity, so drops are more usable? You're bow heavy here so it could be hard to find two good bows and accessories that support 3x range. Personally, I like a healer as well, but that's just me. Theres a few good classes that heal and do decent damage.
There are actually 40 patrol levels. As you move ahead in the quests, you unlock more patrols that can be played.
Team setup Note that I follow the "damage first, then party buffs, then enemy debuffs" approach. I prefer - at least one Healer: Tree Giant is really good for that, and doubles as Melee/Tank. Downside: Tree is slow, so you'll want to give him some +Move item asap. Ranger can heal pretty well too; and fills a ranged attack/skills slot. - at most two Melees*: at least one should focus on single target damage. You'll need it to take out high-HP monsters like bosses. Any more, and they tend to get into each others way too easily; especially in tight stages where you don't have much room to maneuver and bottlenecks you need to get past. - 2+ Ranged AoE skills: for taking out groups of enemies. A leveled up Pyromancer gives the best bang for the buck in terms of sheer damage output. But at the cost of tankiness/survivability, naturally. And any range-skill focused char pretty much gobbles up all those nice +AP items. But I still felt quite comfy with two Pyros in my last team. - At least one char should be able to buff the damage output of your single-target melee, ideally to absurd heights. It really helps if you can take down that 1000+HP boss in a round or two - Mix weapon types if possible: you never know what loot you gonna get. Shame if you cannot use that nice bow or that great Staff because you don't have an archer or mage type. *NOTE: This might very well change after Wavelight updates to make ranged attacks less overpowered. However: I only used actual ranged attacks as fillers until I was able to use ranged AoE skills almost constantly (around halfway through).
I am so ready to get into this game but I'm wary of starting and running into bugs so right now it's just sitting on my device...thanks for your continued support though, hope sales are doing well.
Yep ... agreed. Rather amusingly, I just discovered another way to steal from the store. I will fix that and not explain how to do it in the patch notes. Gold increases by level so a pickup from a high level character will yield more gold than one by a low level character.
