Awesome ... I just saw the review. That's great. Some great points on that review ... chaos and over-ambition is a trait of this game. Something I hadn't really considered before. I like it.
Just the backpack and a few different should pads. I'll try to add some more. Would it be too silly to have a parrot or crow as a shoulder item? Honest question ... something I was thinking of but wasn't sure if it was perhaps a bit silly.
Amen, I just bought this for the same reason. Looking forward to Apple letting the updates out! C'mon Apple!
I've purchased alone to support this dev team. I will patiently wait for the updates to polish out the game before I play. That said... Wavelightgames you have set the standard for how an amazing dev team supports their gamer community. You need to be supported. Anyone on the fence should buy alone for the fact that the dev team is so responsive and user friendly. I have been watching this thread since the day this game has come out and I have never been so amazed at how great a dev team Wavelightgames is. You have a lifelong customer in me my friend.
First off let me say +1 to Gearkins post. My feelings exactly. And second, please dont make the game too hard on easy. Not every one is a beta tester or developer. I am no new comer to these types of games but I still would expect easy difficulty to be just that...easy. Medium difficulty should be for players who are used to the genere and have have had a few plays with the game to understand the tactics involved. Hard..well in my opinion it should almost break your balls just opening the menu in hard difficulty.
I think easy shouldn't be too hard. Do you mind doing a test run on EASY and let me know if it is still too tough? I can tweak that easily with just a few lines of code.
Thanks ... really appreciate it. I want the next game to leverage as solid a game engine as possible so the more feedback I can get for this game ... the better. It should mean the next game will have all those improvements incorporated into it from the start.
Checked again this morning ... same "waiting for review" status. I'm going to have to plan accordingly going forward. I definitely will need to collect updates into larger patches and then push them out rather than multiple patch submissions. Live and learn.
I am surprised Apple did not release the patch along with the new games today! I have done a lot of programming, but I have never desired to release for iOS. Android, PC, Linux, yes, not Apple. Many reasons...
Sorry I missed this. You could keep playing patrol levels for as long as you like. Currently there's a bug that limits the patrols to just 1 mission when you finish quest 5 ... but that's fixed in a coming patch. There's no level cap on the characters so they can keep growing forever.
Just finished the first attempt at a new environment level. This is a cave / mine setting and once I get the lighting and shadows working nicely, it'll feature a lot in the new levels in the expansion packs. I'm thinking having red crystals restore health to nearby units and blue crystals increase action points.
oops ... I had fog / special fx and bloom disabled in the above screen shot. Here's how it is on a higher graphics setting: Screen Shot 2015-09-03 at 2.27.11 PM by Rajpreet Dhillon, on Flickr
Unfortunately I am unable to do a test run on easy. I have held off playing the game till the patch is released and anyhow, you would be waiting weeks for me to do a run through the game as I dont have enough hours in the day. Sorry. Oh and those screen shots of the outdoors....wow! Looks incredible.
@WaveLightGames You know I'm a fan of what you're doing. My thought is that you need to shift gears a bit and really focus on fine tuning Demon's Rise before worrying about adding a bunch of extra content. As Shaun's review pointed out it's unbalanced, lacks mid-level save system (a must for mobile), uneven difficultly curve, and contains some bugs. The amount of content your already providing is excellent. But what really sets apart best games from the good ones is that they are extremely polished and balanced. The perfect example is Wayward Souls. Rocketcat games polished, balanced and fine tuned Wayward Souls until it was perfection itself. I think this game could reach that level with right level of focus.
