Great as i buyed the game after the first update but found it still unplayable due to the camera controls (ipad air2).
Just played this on my lunch to try out the new dwarf guy! I hate how many times all of my melee guys miss their attacks lol. But no camera problems here and I still had a blast!
Thanks ... I may fix that by increasing the base hit chance of all characters by 5% in the next patch. Also, if you switch to EASY, your guys will hit increase base hit chance by 15% or something.
Tested dynamic shadows on the iPhone 5 and iPad Air. It's choppy on the iPhone 5 but reasonable on iPad Air. I still personally wouldn't use it just because I like having less battery usage and nicer FPS. However, it's an option now. I think I will have the option only for those devices that are METAL though ... as it really isn't a very good experience on older hardware. Therefore, I'm only going to have the toggle appear in the options screen on devices that can handle METAL and not on those that can't.
Question: Does anyone have a favorite healer in the game? The only one I've used, it seems is the storm seer. Would anyone recommend a better character?
Hey guys ... here's a shot of the game with Dynamic Shadows enabled. You can see shadows from the characters now: Dynamic Shadows by Rajpreet Dhillon, on Flickr I have to say I'm impressed that the METAL devices can handle these kinds of graphics and still give out a smooth frames per second. Well done to the techies that came up with METAL. Very nicely done. It will require a METAL device to work and won't do much on an older device though it will allow for slightly better graphics and dynamic shadows on the menu screens. However, not in the battle scenes so really not much point enabling it on a non-Metal device (iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, etc.).
Try the Tree Giant ... he doesn't have a heal immediately but once he levels, his healing abilities are really impressive. Far more powerful than that of the Storm Seer. Almost all his abilities are buffs.
Thanks ... I think it's looking good. Going to upload the update to iTunes Connect now. Then it will be up to Apple's review process. Hopefully they'll do it quickly. Also, I went through and fixed the invisible wall bug on all levels.
Just wanted to say kudos to WaveLight for a fantastic product and even better support and communication. I bought the game partly because it seemed like it would be fun, partly to support premium development by indie creators like WaveLight, and partly because of the dev's incredible participation in the forums. Demon's Rise hasn't disappointed in the least, nor has WaveLight's commitment to it and its further development. I hope it continues to garner more attention!

Thanks TraderJoe .. appreciate the support. Quick update, guys ... version 1.2 is with Apple in it's review queue. Here's the change log: Enhancement: Added dynamic shadows on iPhone 5S and newer devices (enable in Options screen). Enhancement: Improved touch screen controls. Enhancement: Added on-screen zoom & rotate camera control buttons. Bug Fix: Fixed bug where certain enemies could not be attacked on some levels. I'm really hoping the touch screen controls meet everyone's expectations. They seem good to me but of course, I had gotten used to the over-sensitive of the old controls. Basically, the new controls ignore very small movements during zoom and rotate controls. You can also just use the on-screen buttons now instead if you prefer ... allowing you to play the whole game with just one finger.
Are you starting a new game? If so, sounds like a corrupt save game. Can you try creating a new team and see if it happens again?
@inuse78 I think they're just based on stat weight and item level. I just pick the higher amount and equip it. One exemption I noticed is the backpack for the shoulder slot. All the ones I've seen are only +1Movement, maybe saw a plus +2. But the backpacks differ in level and quality even though providing the same stay amount.
Nope ... that dude is the Undead Paladin, one of the nastier Undead. Not what I was referring to though. Give you a clue ... it is to do with one of the characters.
That's not good. Can you describe what the last quest that you completed was? What was involved in the quest level? Do you remember if you came back to the camp by pressing the new return to camp button? Don't delete the save or uninstall the game. I may be able to patch it to fix the issue. Are you still able to do patrol levels?
