After this update , the option for persistence corpse is not there. It is hard to see the coin or potion left by the dead enemies.
Yes. Intentionally as it was causing some other issues to remove the corpses that I couldn't fix otherwise.
Yes .. that's the plan. Is it a really big problem for the corpses? If so, I can try to find some workaround to keep the hide corpse option. I personally just prefer the corpses being persistent. Seems more realistic and looks better.
Any feedback or opinions on the new character class? Also, how is everyone finding the new movement / animation system?
Well, animations look smooth but it's the third time today I have to reload auto save or restart battle because an enemy unit gets stuck turning around an hex indefinitely... Different units on different maps. I'm currently watching a goblin who will never get to its destination :'(
That's really annoying ... I went to extremes to stop that from happening. Can you take a screenshot and let me know where? It'll help me track down the issue. Hopefully it's limited to just one particular map.
I messed up the screenshot, I'll make one the next time it happens. Usually there is one or multiple obstacles nearby: a tree, enemy units... I know pathfinding is a real game programming woe, I hope I can help you figure it out!
Cool, thanks .. I would appreciate it. It's probably something really small that I can fix with a few lines of code.
Here, another map. It happens in almost half the fights. This was mission 7, a dwarf tries to move behind my bear and loops around there. https://m.imgur.com/a/bBye5
Cool .. thank you. So maybe something with the rock or perhaps the corpses are causing an issue. I'll try to recreate it. Nice screenshot, by the way, lots of dead guys. If you do run into this, you should be able to just go to the pause menu and click "Load Autosave" and that will bring you back to the previous turn.
I was able to reproduce the navigation bug. I am working on a fix! Sorry for the inconvenience. For some reason when a character dies from a counter attack, it continues to act like an obstacle / hole in the navigation map even though there is code that tells it to not do that. I'm looking into why it behaves differently when a unit dies from a counter attack vs. a normal attack or ability.
I installed the update earlier, played 2 quick battles and a campaign one : no more getting stuck in pathfinding ! Good work and thanks.
Awesome news! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Have you tried the new character? I starting work on the next new character ... he's a Death Knight. A variation of the skeleton champion from Demon's Rise 1 with more magical abilities.
