add the EYE beholder!! that would be a nice addition. Make perfect sense too, because the party selection lacks a nuker!
The beholder is a good choice. Anothet option could be the big zombie giant from dr1. I could give him some undead abilities like raising zombies or something. Either would be good choices.

I just wouldn't go nuts with characters. Add a few but you don't need 79,000 like the last game. Save some for the next game or make a "pack" available as a 99 cent DLC. A couple characters as mission rewards is cool but there's no need to go into "overkill mode".
Agreed ... these will be the last. Just the Toadman left to finalize as the final "real" characters and then the 3 bosses will just be the bonus for completion. Working on the next two games now. Here's a preview of the arena map for Temple of Shadows. This will be a fighting pit / tournament that players can enter (by paying an entry fee) and then fight different sorts of enemies for money. There will be different tiers ... the first will be free to join, the other two will feature better rewards, tougher enemies but will require an entry fee. Okay, guys ... doing the build for the 1.2 update. It's a really big one. If all goes well, I should be submitting to Apple tomorrow. Here's the change log: New Content: Vampire Knight character class added to player characters. The Vampire Knight is a powerful fighter and mage that can feed on her enemies during battle. New Content: Blade Dancer character class added to player characters. The Blade Dancer is an acrobatic and deadly warrior that wields twin blades with deadly grace. Enhancement: Units can now move multiple times during battle, provided they do not move more than their maximum movement range. Enhancement: Major UI overhaul. Character stats now moved to top right of screen with clearer life / AP bars. Enhancement: UI objects / buttons now move in during player turn and move off screen during enemy turns to maximize view. Enhancement: Enemy character stat button now shoes remaining life so players no longer have to click the button to see how many hit points the character has. Enhancement: Improved blood effects on character death to now fade in / out gradually. Enhancement: Characters that bleed when destroyed now have a variety of new blood effects. Balance Change: Tenaclid Overmind's Mental Strain ability now applies a -50% dodge chance penalty to affected target. Bug Fix: Fixed bug where the abilities of allies and mind controlled units would not work correctly. Bug Fix: Significantly reduced crashes on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and other devices with 1GB RAM by enabling greater texture compression on these devices. Yeah, those kinds of abilities will fit well for him. I'm leaning towards going a different direction because I don't want to have an excessive number of characters that are redundant on the basic roster as this can intimidate new players. So I think I will keep the basic roster to 15. I'm going to remove the Cataphract and use her in the next game (Temple of Shadows) as I'm finding her play style to be very similar to the Demon Knight. Instead, I will have the Snakeman Rogue take her place and that will be the final, standard character. So the final roster will be 15 with the Feral Ogre, Tenaclid Overmind, Vampire Knight, Blade Dancer and Snakeman Rogue be the extra characters since launch. I'll add 5 extra boss characters that become available when the player has finished the game. Here's what I'm thinking: - Black Dragon - Void Reaper (Skeleton boss) from DR1 - Beholder from DR1 - Zombie Giant from DR1 (?) - Demon Lord from DR1 (?) That sound like a plan? The bosses take almost no time to add since they're already made. I'll add a few new abilities to some of the boss units to add flavour since they currently only have 1 or 2 abilities each.
Thanks, appreciate it. While getting the next upload ready, I did some work on the first level of Temple of Shadows. I'm really liking the Saxon / Viking theme. The campaign starts with the players fighting in a melee tournament and (hopefully) winning. Temple of Shadows WIP by Rajpreet Dhillon, on Flickr I think the Cataphract character fits this game better. Although she looks out of place with her eastern style armour, the player character are travelling mercenaries so it makes sense. The enemies and NPC will be much more strongly "Saxon / Viking" theme so it will feel really coherent.

Can you do a two headed troll?
The Zombie giant was in the undead expansion levels that were added via an update. Did you ever play those levels? I could do a normal troll. I don't have a two headed one to use, unfortunately.
Any feedback on the new characters yet? I like them though I'm not sure the feral ogre hits hard enough.
My feral ogre is at level 7 I miss my werebear. He isn't bad but he can do more damage. I hate that the overmind sixth move is a straight line I was it was a area of effect. Other than that I great like the characters
WLG Who is the snakeman rogue character? Any details would be great. Also any details on the Catapract char your saving for next game. The vampire and blade chars coming up sounds exciting
Just check back 2 or 3 pages in this thread and there are details of the character and a screen shot. He'll be in the 1.3 update after the one that I'm uploading now. The Cataphract is another character I was going to include in the 1.3 patch but I'm going to shift her to the next game. She doesn't fit as well as I thought she would and is a little too similar to the Demon Knight in design.
