Sorry I thought it would appear differently. It looks great but imho I don't mind the previous interface.
Yeah, I think it makes sense. I could even tie in the ruined dwarven city from DR1 into the plot fairly easily. Spoiler Also, I love the idea of the final boss in DR3 being one of the characters from DR2 riding a huge black dragon and carrying a demonic sword that allows him or her to summon demons.
Hey, Just a heads up to anyone playing on a 1GB RAM device like an iPad Air, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, etc., you should consider enabling "Low RAM mode" in the options as it does significantly reduce ram usage and will therefore reduce occurrence of crashes. It does make textures slightly blurrier and text a little harder to read, but it really isn't that noticeable in most cases.
Caught my interest! Hi hi, it's great to see the 2nd installment of the Demon's Rise series come to fruition! I have a quick question, how spectacular are the magical/ultimate/powerful attacks' visual effects in this game?
Depends on which effects but yeah, I would say overall that the special effects have been improved this game. There are lots of really cool ground breaking explosions and abilities that cause fire to rain from the sky and such.
Thanks, I really like them too. I'm doing a build now onto my iPad so will get a chance to see how they look on a real device. This GUI change combined with the move multiple times a turn change really have a big impact on the game. Also, I did the Vampire Knight's voices now. She sounds really cool ... a calm yet evil and powerful female voice. Works really nicely for her.
BTW is there plans to include MFi support ? i know its turn based and native to iOS but I love using my airplay mirroring with a controller so much lol
Not at this point. I will be looking into console controls eventually if I'm ever able to publish to consoles definitely not in the short term.
NP, definitely not a must have but a fun feature to have. When im gaming on my tv (only 1 hr per day on average) I can play something else hahaha #
If we take Demon's Rise 1 for example with 30 characters, selling the initial game with 10-15 characters and offering the other 15 characters as IAPs can be a good model. Or you can sell 18 characters individually or separate them into 3 bundles of 6 characters. Each bundle is named according to the 6 members' warband name according to the game's lore. Though with your currently excellent output at creating video games, I am certain you can experiment with different business models and see which is to your liking.
I have a new suggestion: a toggle to make the hexes appear for all tiles. As the game is hex based instead of square based, it is difficult to know the direction of a long collumned spell. There were many times that I moved to a tile thinking that the planned spell directions correspond to the enemy's but I was wrong.
WLG Give an option in regards to the pay option. I rather pay a premium price and not deal with the annoyances of ads. Sega did this before in the past and it was a turn off for me. I support you and want you to make money but just think of all your supporters when thinking about the IAP option. The premise for DR3 should tie in chars from the good side and demonic side some way imagine an army of humans and demons would be cool. Regarding the new game I read the details it sounds promising. What do you mean by a classic D&D? If your looking for a theme for the classics I loved the adventure in ice wind dale. Also how would the game differ from DR 1&2? Either way love your work on both games and will continue to support.
I know I should go to the DR1 forum page but I feel that many people here have played and beat that one so if I can just ask one question... What 6 characters should I make a party with? The reason I didn't actually play the first one is because I could never decide a party with 30 freaking characters to choose from. Your help is appreciated.
I have completed the game once. I tried one of the preset warbands that have the giant, paladin, knight, storm seer, archer and pyromancer. The only character I liked was the Pyromancer because most of his abilities are AOEs.
Half giant Paladin Samurai Wizard Archer Pyromancer I loved this team. I also liked the high Mage I believe her lightning spell was sick. The dwarves were good too.
I know DR 1 30 characters but the variety was amazing! So many different combos but I agree with WSG better to have less and more unique characters
Just realised something... and oh my im late... This needs iOS 9.1 ??? No plans to lower that requirement ? Im still on iOS 9.0.2 and I have my reasons not to upgrade :/ Im saddened Edit : My iPad is on iOS 10 and thats the reason i could play earlier and didnt notice... lol
