My team This is the team I use, works well together. Opinions? Blood shaman Demon Knight Werebear Corsair Shamaness Huntress
I have tried on quite a few real armours, except full platemail, and worn several for whole weekends (LARPer). Yes, even a light helmet is pretty much a must, saves you from acute and messy brain loss Light leather armour offers reasonable protection against cuts (less against stabs, and unless it's boiled to harden it effectively nothing against crushing hits), and hinders you only very little. Shield and a short stabbing sword as secondary weapon (primary would be spear, typically) is a great combination, there's a reason people used it for thousands of years. Speed is an argument, heavy armour does slow you down. Acrobactics? A picture says more than a thousand words: https://youtu.be/Pz7naZ08Jd4 Cannot find the one where a guy does a backflip(!) in full plate(!), so this'll have to do. Btw: Chainmail is a *royal* pain to wear. Literally. With almost all the weight on your shoulders (even with a belt taking some of it), you are SO happy when you get out of it A more realistic approach for her would be light helmet with light leather, a stabbing sword and something crushy as secondary weapon to deal with armour, e.g. a short axe or mace. And/or a small shield like a buckler. Think I found the perfect one for her: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lantern_shield . Just look at those nasty gauntlets.
Progress is automatically updated when you finish a level and at the end of each turn within a level. If you quit the app during a battle, when you load your saved game, you are given the option of resuming from the autosave. If you choose not to, you return back to camp.
Yes, you can replay campaign levels as much as you want. Each time you do, you get gold, experience points and new items. Some of the campaign levels are longer and have bigger rewards than the quick battles so sometimes it's better to replay a campaign level. Not always though ... a lot of the quick battles have good rewards too.
Looks like a good team. You have range shooting with the corsair, shamaness and huntress. You've got healing with the blood shaman and huntress. The Werebear and Demon Knight are both excellent melee fighters and both tend to lose health in order to amplify killing power so having the two healers is a good combination. Overall, I'd say it's a great team.
Almost the same as mine, the only difference is your Demon Knight vs my Ghoul/Volcrate (yes, replaced the Ghoul with Birdboy). Agree, they go together quite well, everything covered from tankiness to ranged damage and support.
Agreed. It's not just about mobility but the rate at which heavy armour tires you out. If you're a fighter that relies on hit/run tactics and mobility, you don't want to be exhausted by the added weight of armour, even when it doesn't impede your movements that much. A good example are the Sikh Nihungs in medieval India. Their entire fighting was based on hit / run and ambush of heavy Muslim infantry / cavalry so they didn't wear armour except for the occasional breastplate and metal skullcap under the turban. Yeah, a buckler or a crushing weapon would be better and she should definitely be wearing a helmet and some kind of torso / stomach armour. But it's fantasy so why not?
The Demon Knight will be getting a new set of colours and improvements in the model in this update as well. Just finishing integrating it now.
Here's some images of the new and improved Demon Knight. He now wears bronze armour that shines a lot more and is more detailed. wow ... an Epic, level 42 item. That's going to be both expensive and really powerful. Tomorrow, I'm going to start work on some enhancements to the shop. I'm thinking of having buttons that show different price tiers of items. So press one button and it'll show cheap items, another for medium price and another for expensive items. The store will effectively carry 3x as much as it currently does and you can then just focus on the kinds of items you have the cash to buy.
Also, I'm going to redesign the vampire character and go with a female vampire knight instead of male. The roster is a bit of sausage fest and I'd really like to have at least one woman in sensible attire. The vampire will be in full plate armour and will fight with a longsword and blood / death magic. Her magic will be powerful but cost health as well as action points. She'll have a bite attack ability that allows her to feed on her enemies so can recover that health during battle. So she'll be a very powerful fighter / mage but will almost always be low on health unless she is healed by an ally or feeds regularly. Here's a picture from my 3d model making tool: vampire knight WIP by Rajpreet Dhillon, on Flickr This will be a custom character and not a stock asset like the other characters. I'm gradually moving towards making custom characters using these 3d modelling tools for future games.
