I've just tried to update a game and I'm told I don't have enough space. Okay, fair enough. But I see that I have iOS 8.0.2 just sitting here waiting to be installed (why it downloaded it I do not know, I didn't tell it to download), I don't plan on installing it (still on 7.x) so..

How do I delete an ios update that's downloaded? I am willing to bet it's a decent size, probably over a gig of wasted space! I'd like it gone

iOS is automatically downloading new system updates. The update file is usually shown in the settings menu where all your other apps are listed including their size.
I don't know how it is called in english.
I mean the one in the screenshot. From there you can delete it.

Thank you. Wow it said it was 4gb, no wonder I was low on storage space :)

    No problem! :)
And ye, iOS8's OTA update is a pretty big one compared earlier versions.
