The amount of merging to crest is pretty crazy. Going to be hard to see every unit lol. I have found some good Units and had some great runs. I will for sure keep playing. I have one big worry. Either this was built to go free to play, in apps are coming, or the currency is just off. Everything is crazy expensive in diamonds. The first thing I bought was a power up you can take with you into battle. It ended up being a one time use. It said turn on or off so I figured you keep it and can buy other ones to use. The next things I bought were to upgrade my character. The first one cost 10 diamonds. By far the cheapest thing. It gave me 10 more gold to start a round, which doesn’t really do anything. Other upgrade items range from 50-2500 diamonds. After you buy one of three upgrade slots they are sold out till you spend 5 diamonds to refresh the shop. Everything goes up in price after first buy. Except the refresh it seems. I bought another upgrade that makes a unit cheaper and it went down 1 gold. Cost me 200 diamonds. You can buy one time units for a battle that cost 150-300 diamonds My best run I earned 217 diamonds. It’s either going to be an insane grind or in apps are coming. If that happens I will be very upset. Hoping they just need to adjust. Or possibly it just a grind game. Regardless for the moment I am enjoying myself. It’s very addictive. I did just have my best run and earned 600 diamonds. I earned another 600 from an upgrade I chose during the round. It may not be as bad as I thought. Still going to be a grind. Another thing to mention is there is only one currency to buy stuff for upgrades and one time use. The other currency is gold which you use during battle. Game is a defence loop. You start with three choices archer, mage, knight. They each cost 55 gold and you start with 180. You can then mix and match like crazy. As you battle you earn gold buy more units and find more matches. You can make some crazy units. Enemies just circle around you. You place and merge units. You can move them anywhere at anytime. Sometimes it’s good to keep moving a strong unit as the boss moves. Merging is your friend. You want to merge and find strong units. There is a guide to help with what will merge. But it’s a lot lol. I think the first dungeon is three rooms. I just died on the third. First two rooms have 42 waves and the last 46. You die if too many enemies are on screen or you don’t beat a boss before a countdown. There are lots of mini bosses and one large boss. You get to choose and upgrade every so often between three different options. I am wanting to play again but gotta hit the sack lol. Games take a long time. I haven’t left one and come back yet as I couldn’t stop. So it sure about saving. There are 2 Dungeons. Plus An endless dungeon and a boss rush dungeon. So total of 4. So far I don’t regret and really enjoy it. houseofg likes this. Aside from that it’s made so well for iPhone. You can save anytime by going to menu and exiting to main menu. But beyond that my iPhone died during a run and sure enough when I got it back on the app crashed. Buuuut once getting it back on my game had saved right where my phone died. Another cool thing is when playing a dungeon you can speed up the game by doubling the speed. However, once beating a level on the dungeon once playing again you can speed it up to four times the speed. It’s a cool feature as it gets you past the dungeon levels you have beaten super quick if you want. I am addicted. I still haven’t beaten the first full dungeon. Just died on wave 44 of 46 on the third part, which I think is actually the end. So I gotta try again….. I dont understand any of the Korean (?), but that does not diminish the fun in any way. All the items and classes are explained well enough in English, and if not, a little practice is enough to figure it out. Feedback - the Chapter 1 final boss mechanics are fun, but the timing of the shield isn’t clear and with so much going on it’s usually missed. I do like the Reflect timing/mechanic. The Chapter 2 final boss is a nightmare. The color scheme is so dark and it’s so hard to see exactly what is happening, specially with so many characters trying to stay in the “air bubble”. Maybe change the colors so there’s a bit more differentiation. Otherwise it’s a fun fight. I think I had ~20% left on my last attempt.
