Wow, FABULOUS , relaxing yet challenging game. The beautiful graphics and meditative/trance music blend perfectly with the one-touch control scheme to make a masterpiece of mobile gaming. This game is very worth the three bucks. Richard
Mrs. Northway now has 2 games on my game of the year list. I loved incredipede, but I may be enjoying this even more. Deep Under the Sky is giving me as much joy as I got from Monument Valley, which is a huge compliment. I'm taking my time with this because I do t want it to end -- just as I did with MV (I'm sure I will immediately start a second playthrough just as I did with MV as well).
I don't own Incredipede, but I will consider buying it now. I also don't own MV. This game though is so simple, in concept, however the challenge lies in the the three phase timing of your taps. This mechanic will never get old for me. I love that there's no pressure you can play a level as many times as you'd like without losing your accumulated progress. As I said before this is such a relaxing yet challenging game. If that makes sense. I hope everyone on TA gets the chance to download and play this already underrated gem. Spend the $3 people, you will NOT regret it. If Swing Copters got GOTW on TA, Deep Under the Sky should in scale and magnitude to that get GOTY. It's that's good.
You guys are saying a lot of good things about this game! But I'm totally broke, I want to try it now! Is there anyway to make some quick wash since I wo t be getting some for a while! Also how's that game different from Incredipede?
Ha! Glad I could help. --- This game looks gorgeous, but I feel like I would get bored quick. Has anyone hit an "I'm bored" wall after initially enjoying it at the beginning?
I personally haven't. The levels get more varied and introduce new interactive elements into the environment to shake things up. I can't recommend this game enough.
Me either, finally "finished" chapter 1 and it alone was over two hours of gameplay.I'm now ranked #2 in the world! Such a beautiful game and having started chapter 2 even more new elements are introduced (Buzzsaw Jellyfish ). This is my most played game currently and I hope tons of people cough up the three bucks to own this masterpiece of iOS gaming. This dev deserves TA love and this game deserves to be on more iDevices than Swing Copters and Angry Birds combined.
How do you access hard mode? Is it the icon opposite GameCenter on the title screen? Mine is blanked out right now..
After you complete the game (I'm not sure if you need to have collected all the stars) a new squidly thing appears on the title screen; select it and you'll be in Hard Mode.
Oh, was that squidly thing already there? I didn't realize, I only noticed it after I finished the game.
Yes it's there, but it's shaded out for me currently and only makes a sound when I click it. There's sooooooooo much content here for three bucks, it gets thrown around a lot but thus far this is turning out to be a strong contender for GOTY for me.
Damn Andy, you just shot straight to first on world 1, and by half my time. I've some serious work to do
Yeah, your post earlier prompted me to clean up my chapter 1 times so you only have yourself to blame.
I've been doing the same, back in second place, hunting for first. This game is multi layered. You can play as just a laid back strategist or as a speed runner. Hopefully Ms.Northway can be compelled to add a second leaderboard for shots fired in each world.
