there's only one tap control in this game. very simple and easy to play but a lil bit tricky to get the precise timing. The Gameplay: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
No imps on this one? I'm on a roll this week with TNTBF3 and Spooklands, so if no one posts some thoughts about this I'll be back after work wit my first thoughts
I will pick this up right now without waiting for impressions. I buy everything from these great indy developers.
Here's what's up with this game since so many have asked. You have an octopus like character that fires a projectile with one press of the button, the second press of the button will make the projectile jet forward, the third press of the button make the project explode and send out the equivalent of sperm towards eggs. The goal is to hit all of the eggs back in the different shaped channels that you're given to deal with. It's kind of like a cannon game where you have to fire projectiles over and around things to hit the target, (I can't remember any titles of any of those games offhand but you probably know what I'm talking about ) It's a very simple gameplay mechanic with beautiful graphics but there's also a definite challenge to it. Once the projectile is launched it will travel an arch and you have to know where in that arch to fire the jet as well as the best time to fire the eggs/sperm. Well worth a look and definitely worth the price of admission. I did see a little stutter on my iPad Air in a few spots but nothing too severe. Review left on the App Store.
This game is a lot of fun and an example of something different in the App Store. Almost wish it was a little harder in that is missing that throw your phone frustrating factor. Maybe if you only had X number of tries on each level. As it is now it's a relaxing game that gives you as many tries as you want. Great job
This really is a beautiful and relaxing game! Can anybody explain where the stars are for? On some levels I have all the stars but can not see the difference on the map.
My game of the week. I bought it because I saw the name Sarah Northway attached to it and I'm glad I did. Someone earlier in the thread said that they wished that there were a finite number of attempts in a level. I think that would detract from how peaceful and serene the game is; especially for a more casual player. However, there is an unlockable Hard Mode.
Andy, do you know if collecting the stars have any extra purpose? Have to agree with you about this being the gotw , the gameplay is very relaxing and mesmerizing. A great stress reliever!
I'm quite enjoying this so far, it's a great looking game and it does have a very relaxing quality. Hopefully the gameplay will develop a bit as I progress. The only thing I don't really like at the mo is that you can't zoom out to see where your meant to be shooting - I'd prefer that option than just seeing guidelines onscreen
The Northway pedigree made this game an instant buy for me. As deceptively simple as the one-touch description may come across, the game is fun and challenging. The look and feel of this game is unlike any other on the market. If you haven't bought this, you really should plunk down some shekels. The gorgeously immersive alien eye candy alone is worth the price of admission.
I don't think so. Other than the challenge of collecting them and making the level select screen look pretty, I don't think they have another purpose.
There are 8 gamecenter leaderboards, 4 for the regular worlds and 4 for the worlds in hard mode. The leaderboards show the total time you needed to finish a world ( there are 21 levels per World) .
This husband/wife team of devs just made it to my short list of blind purchases. I will buy anything they release now without even checking out a trailer. 5/5
