    I also have an iPhone 5 and immediately noticed the zoomed in screen. Still a 5 star game, but I prefer to see my surroundings more.
    I am loving the new loot magnet too that the excelsior ship grants!

    I see others have the zoom in problem I have. Now for me it is not worth playing until they fix it.

    I played this a ton before, and now coming back to it, it feels really zoomed in, like fewer blocks are available to see on my phone's screen then I remember. Right now I can only really see about a 5 x 10 area, and I feel like before it was like 8 x 16.

    Yeah I noticed the zoom effect too... Hope they will set it back the way it was as it feels claustrophobic and frankly not as fun as before. You feel like you can't see anywhere to go or anything potentially interesting to investigate.

    Man I'm disappointed #

    Hi guys,

    We're looking into the iPhone 5 zoom issue.

    Sounds like the new display system we had to introduce for multi-platform builds (i.e. the gazillion Android resolutions) is trying to give you the best compromise of world view and size of tappable areas / buttons for your device. Generally most devices try to give you a minimum of 11 tiles across which is what it sounds like it's doing here.

    I'll keep you posted on what the code Monster reckons to all of this...

    Hi mcamp,

    Strange. We have tested the game on iPhone 6+ and it seems to work fine for us.

    This issue sounds very similar to the weird memory issue some people were getting when their device was full of apps & games. We're not entirely sure why it happens as that side of things is beyond our control but some users said that by freeing up a bit of space on their device (by removing unused apps / photos etc.) things magically started worked a-ok.

    If you give this a go let us know if this helps at all!

    Right. Potential solution for this zoom problem...

    We're talking about introducing setting that allows you to toggle the zoom. This would allow any devices with a large enough resolution to choose their own preference.

    Why would this be in the settings? Well...we have to render various things upon the start of the dive so when you jump into the water we already know how the dive will look. Basically we can't flick the zoom level during a dive.

    This would also give many other users (such as iPads and newer devices) the new option of playing with a greater field of view if they so wished (pretty much all iOS devices EXCEPT iPhone 5 seem to use 11 tiles across as standard so makes sense to keep these devices toggled to zoomed in upon an update).

    How does this sound to people? Pretty much the only way we can sort this issue without breaking the zoom on every other device.

    Really sorry this has happened in the first place. We tested on so many devices but zoom issue on the trusty ole iPhone 5 seemed to slip us (and our testers) by. Gutted :(

    We're continuing to look into the zoom issue. Now we have some actual iPhone 5 screenshots we can see that the game is waaaaay more zoomed in that it should be (as some of you already know!?)

    Zooming out one level actually brings it back to how it was and how most other devices see the game...so we might not even need to add a zoom setting just fix the iPhone 5 weirdness.

    We'll continue to play with things and see what's best but either way we'll attempt to get an update submitted by tomorrow.

    Hi akanaf,

    Can you give us any further info regarding the freezing? We fixed a bunch of freezes but there's still some rare occurrences that we can't replicate on a regular basis to fix so any information might help!

    When I diving the character Is freezing - I can't move on any direction. I must end diving manualy. It happens to me three times so far. I try to make movie if You want. Thx for support

    Well, dammit I deleted this game accidentaly when I was clearing out space for new games. I reinstalled it because of this update and see that all my progress was lost as well :(

    Ah well! The game is really fun so I dont mind starting fresh. I grabbed the coin doubler this time as well since....

    A. The dev deserves a little sumthin for making a great fun game.

    and B. It'll help soften the blow of starting over.

    Ahh, cheers for the support Retro Nug! Every little helps :)

    Following up on yesterdays shenanigans, we have submitted a new build to Apple that should fix the iPhone 5 scaling issue. We're trying to push this through as a priority update but we wont know until later today if that's going ahead.

    We're also looking into the lock-up issues some more but it still doesn't seem like there's a reliable way to reproduce the issue so might take some time.

    Also, not that it will bother many of you here, it seems the update has also caused a bit of slow-down on some Android devices so we'll be looking into that too.

    Thanks again for all the support. As always we'll keep you posted on progress.

    Edit: Iphone 5 zoom in is fixed! Before the dive (the diver on boat scene) still remains big/zoomed in. But once diver is in the water, everything looks zoomed out. A broader range of visibility. Thank you for the quick fix devs! #

    Yeah the zoom is fixed also on my iPad 2 air... Yay! I'm now back in the mesmerizing and strangely relaxing Deep Loot zone. My thanks to the devs for the super quick fix and kudos to your work on this awesome update.

    I don't know if Cthulu Jr. was available before but he was the first thing I grabbed... Very cool.

    Only request I could possibly have would be to have slider for the music volume and the SFX... I love the tunes but would like to be able to turn them down a tad but still be able to hear the low air warning, etc...

    But man you guys are fantastic... I was starting to despair that this huge update may have fallen by the wayside but
    you certainly delivered # So much to do and collect, unlock, etc... All with that great humorous vibe. Best "casual" iOS game ever.
