Merry Fishmas everyone! It's our last day at Monster HQ for 2014 and we have a lot to do but we wanted to take a moment to give you an update before we haul ourselves away from these machines to spend time with our families & friends this festive season.

As we mentioned the update is DONE. However despite our best efforts and submitting the update to Apple over a week ago it has not been approved in time for Christmas :( We're are so so sorry about this as we REALLY wanted the update to be in your hands to enjoy over the holidays but alas it was not to be.

On the plus side this means we will be able to launch on the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon App Store simultaneously early January. Plus if things, heaven forbid, do go wrong we'll be in the office to help with issues and fix anything major rather than having a potentially broken game on stores over Christmas.

So roll on 2015 for a new update and new games. From both of us here we wish you a most fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to showing you lots of new stuff soon and we thank you all for the amazing support you've shown this year. You gals and guys are the best

    Cheers,

Dave (aka The Art Monster) & Dan (aka The Code Monster)

Just a quick message to wish you all a Happy New Year! Hope you've all had a cracking start to 2015 :D

Regarding the update, it's still coming we've fixed a final couple of bugs and re-submitted for approval from Apple. Once this happens we can let you all know a date for release!

Again, sorry for the delay. It is in part because we've been triple checking everything and now that there's even more content it's even tougher / takes even longer to test certain things properly.

We've also spent some time looking into why the pre-release version we submitted to Apple's new beta system was overwriting save games. We 'think' this is because the app comes from a different system so considers the update to just be a new app and overwrites the app store version but it's still a bit frustrating especially as there's no real documentation etc. regarding all of this.

Has anyone else here had any experience in updating an app with a pre-release code? Basically this is the last thing we're trying to wrap our heads around. We're relatively sure when updating from the official store the save data will be fine (it has been on all of our previous updates) but with so many new factors with this update such as the game now being built with a new version of AIR, and iOS8 now being out etc. we would rather have solid proof rather than releasing and hoping for the best!?

Right! You can ignore the bit about save games. After EVEN MORE testing and investigating we have found that the new version of AIR has slightly changed the way in which it places an apps / games save data. Ugh.

It's all a bit confusing and according to the Code Monster not really documented but we now know there is a very real problem so we've pulled the latest update from Apple review and will endeavor to solve this mystery ASAP.

We already have an idea on how to sort this out so hopefully tomorrow we'll get a new build submitted but ahhhh! So frustrating :(

Still...it proves that triple checking EVERYTHING can pay off in the long run. Had we not spotted this I dread to think of consequences it would have had to our little two man team and Deep Loot itself.

Again, thank you all for your patience and indulging my rambles whenever I pop by. I'll be sure to update when I have new and hopefully much happier news!?

Cool to hear the game update is still coming. It's been a long time (in iOS gaming terms) since I gave this game any time... it'll be nice to dive in again.

    Hi all!

I have some new things to chat about today. Firstly the big update is FINALLY 'In Review' with Apple. Wooooo!! Hopefully it'll be approved relatively swiftly now that it's gotten to this stage. Once approved we'll do some final internal tests to make sure it all works nicely and then we'll set a date for the release.

Couple of reasons for biding our time with the final release of the update. Firstly we want to launch the update simultaneously on iOS and Android so just need to make sure all versions are 100% ready to go (which they pretty much are). Secondly being a tiny two man indie team we don't really have a marketing budget and have to do all PR ourselves so we need to make sure as many people know about the updates release as possible before the date hits, it's a long shot but we'll be nudging Apple and Google along with some of the mobile sites who have been so amazingly supportive of us and the game in the past. So there's the reasoning behind all of that but if I had to hazard a guess I reckon we'll try to aim for release on Thursday 29th (Thursdays are when the new promotions change on various stores so it's worth holding out for Thursdays for big updates and released.)

Oh and if that wasn't exciting enough our good friends at Mad Fellows finally released their free to play action rhythm game SineWave on the App Store this week and we're chuffed to announce that there's an exclusive Deep Loot livery to unlock for one of the vehicles!

Check out some of the shots of the Deep Loot Aquatic Services space van below and if you feel like it go grab the game and see what you think :)

    Hi all!

As you may have noticed by the article up front on the Touch Arcade homepage Deep Loot Update 2.0 will finally arrive on iOS and Android this Thursday...possibly even a little sooner depending on how quickly the update propagates after we press the big button that says release!

I know I've said it here many times before but thank you to everyone who's supported us since release and thank you for your patience. We really wish we could have gotten this update out to you all sooner but we hope you can still find time to enjoy the new content we've added to the game.

There were loads of suggestions from many of you on this board and a bunch of them have made it in so keep your eyes peeled!

Finally here's the trailer for Update 2.0 (although keep in mind this was intended for launch day!?)

Heh. Just today I was going through my apps, deleting games I've completed to make room...I decided to keep this one. And I just read this news. XD

Bought all the new suits YAY.

    Sold my collections. :)

Got two of the new achievements woohoo.

One thing I did notice is that the screen is zoomed in a bit more on iphone 5. But that's ok, the game still plays great.

    So excited about this update.

I'd start with the save so that way you have a head start on some of the new stuff.

Just downloaded the 2.0 update to my iPhone 6 Plus, and the game won't launch. Displays "loading" briefly, then locks on a blue screen. Game Center notification pops to welcome me, but nothing else happens.

EDIT: Restarting phone seems to have fixed it.

    Rescinding my edit.

Got the game to load. Clicked Collections and got a blank screen with a black linear gradient fading to gray. Quit app, relaunched, and got stuck on the same blue screen previously described.

Bummer. I guess I'll have to wait for another update.
