Ew. Please tell me you are using some kind of real version control system... (aka, not Visual SourceSafe). git, hg, svn, heck, even cvs... Unsure if this is the same one others are talking about above, where buying an upgrade that triggers an acheivement might cause the game to eat the coins -- happened to me with the final drill upgrade. I just ran another dive as TRB4 outlined earlier and repaid for it. On another topic, can anyone give me some tips on where I should be hunting for my last few collectibles (depth range)? - last item in Ancient Relics (right most) - lower left item in Egyptian Afterlife - middle and right fossil - second terracotta soldier (soldier #1) - top left section of Mayan Masterpiece - one white pawn? I thought I'd completed this.
Fun game! I'm getting slow-downs whenever puffer fish are around, deflated or inflated. Frame rate drops to maybe half, maybe less. When the last one nearby dies, the frame rate immediately returns to normal.
Interesting. Not had anything 'that' bad happen with puffers. Could you drop and email to [email protected] with your iOS and Device type so Code Monster Dan has it on record and can add it to his massive list of things to investigate / fix / worry about Thanks!
*Phew* Took me 8hrs to finish all the missions playing normally with a coin doubler. Which means....all the missions now work! Hoorah!! Got a few more things to test such as completing all collections and seeing if I can get all the achievements to work...both of which I'm close to doing. First I need a little break from the iPad though!?
I can attest that you most definitely can complete all collections. The only collection bug that I am aware of is the invisible Strange Egg. As for all achievements, the only 5 I do not have are Business is Booming (which should be fixed), 3 rank based achievements (which should be achievable since you were able to complete all missions), and the hidden achievement that relies on a feature that isn't in the game yet. So I would assume that you'll be able to get 34/35 achievements. As for the final achievement, you could either remove it so everyone could get 34/34, or you could leave it in if you think you'll be able to get the Crafty Tug perk working at some point.
Yeah, just want to make sure we haven't screwed up the collections by testing fully The egg definitely shows up now though! We're also looking into sorting that final achievement (as it's tougher to remove than sort!?) so the full 35 can be completed and all you completionists can be content in blitzing 100% of the game.....for now Hopefully we'll get the last bunch of stuff done and a build submitted to Apple very late tonight (in the UK) or first thing tomorrow. Hoorah!
Three Questions: Deep Loot Hello, all! 1. I have completed 15/18 collections. The only three items I am missing are: a. Ancient Relics [Grail Tablet top] b. The Armour of Achilles [Achilles Left Greave] c. Terracota Soldiers [center soldier] Can anyone provide me with tips on where to get these three items? 2. I have the following missions active: One of my missions is: Pay the Bills: Earn at Least 2500 Coins It is 100% Complete; however, I do not earn the reward Why is this so? 3. Suit Store a. Achilles' Armour: I cannot unlock this suit, as I still need the achilles left greave, so any help here would be fantastic. b. Meganoid: I have to inspect the purple depth. I saw the "Optimus Prime" area, but this did not help. Any other hints?
Thanks Hey, all of these tips worked. My collection is now complete, and all suits of armor are unlocked. Thanks again, frisbee10461
Wow. Today has been pretty epic. We've squashed tons of bugs and done a lot of testing. Just finishing the last couple of things for tonight and then zzz's. We'll give everything a good ole test once again in the morning before submitting to Apple me-thinks! There will still some issues like occasional lock-ups (which will hopefully be way less frequent now), visual glitches and some rare oddities but hopefully we've smashed all the progress blocking stuff as well as some other nasty things like the air depletion issue. Anyway, I'll give a proper update in the morning. Time to crash properly before I fall asleep on the keyboard. P.S. Thanks to everyone for helping us lock down many of these issues. It's been a massive help! Taa!
Had a bit of a tiff with a site that reviewed the game https://twitter.com/AppleNApps/status/497182522778734593
Why? Nothing in that review was particularly untrue. I found the main value of playing was seeing all the cool pix art but to others, they could care less anout exploring. But really reviews of free games (as cool as they are to see) are pointless in the market since these games spread by word of mouth in the social media (+forums) and simply by breaking in the top free games list. If Apple highlights it as worth getting then it may turn to gold. But no doubt a review calling this game a grind feat without purpose won't stop someone from grabbing it if they are interested in seeing for themselves if its good since the price barrier was broken by the dev choosing to go free.
Yeah, Orlando Bloom trying to caress Justin Beiber's peach fuzz with his well manicured fist of the orcs is a tiff. This not so much. Though it is a very low rent review - I winced when they pulled out the Ridiculous Fishing comparison; that game can't go sideways! Pffft! amateurs. But most telling is they can't seem to make up their mind on the only bit that most people read... ✔ Tons of personality / lot of content, but on the other hand, ✖ a real grind (fair comment) and bland! It's a MetaDichotomy baby, yeah
Morning! Yeah we have seen that review and although we felt it was a little harsh he is entitled to his own opinion. Still thank you for having our back and letting your love for our silly little game be known. Friends telling friends that they enjoy Deep Loot is worth far more than that kind of review
Hey BaronPete, it seems you may suffer from the same false modesty/self-effacing nature that I'm familiar with... but the obvious development length, passion and commitment that got you guys to this point makes this much more than the silly little game you keep referring to it as. Ok, you haven't made Halo, or beaten Valve to Half-Life³, but here's hoping Apple might highlight it and your silly little success will put some serious cheddar in the coffers.
So, thanks to TRB4 I've completed all of my collections except the fossils -- still missing two there. Using the Ramona and explosive fish to help clear dirt more easily and still haven't managed to find the one I need (they are at different depths). Meanwhile I'm pretty sure I've completed the Pliosaur skeleton a couple times over. Oh, and all of this and I'm #25 on the GC Leaderboards for blocks drilled (but #686 for dives completed) -- and that's including the obvious GC hackers. Don't hold up the (hopefully) eminent release for this, but maybe a tweak in the fossil (up) and skeleton (down) rates? A very small tweak.
Well in the upcoming update fossils should now be available to find at ALL depths. Which should alleviate some of the issues with finding these (I struggled for ages yesterday!?). Oh and with regards to the update....
