With my air tank fully upgraded, I did 2 dives to the right and 2 dives to the left for the depths of 20m, 40m, 60m, 80m, 100m, and 120m. Didn't get 1 new location, so I thought maybe I needed to go further out. So I did 1 dive to the right and 1 dive to the left for those depths, using the max 9 extra air powerups for each dive, for a total of 36 dives fully focused on finding locations and ignoring treasure, and didn't find a new location. It didn't seem to matter whether I dove left or right, I'd often see the same stuff despite going in the opposite direction. 20m and 40m had the same locations showing up, as did 100m and 120m. 60m and 80m didn't provide many sightings. I wonder how many locations are in the first 120m, I don't see how it could be more than 40 with these results. Is there something wrong with my environment rendering? Or my special location detection? I don't recall getting a dialogue box for a lot of sunken boats/metal ships or the ancient ruins/temples/totems. Is that stuff not considered a special location? Something weird is going on with 59 locations discovered in 235 dives. 6 more since my first post, but I only remember getting 2 new dialogue bubbles for Dr. Who and Meganoid since then. Maybe my stats are messed up? Mines detonated says 0 but I've blown up quite a few.
I've discovered less than 50 and I'm in a similar situation to you, I just don't seem to be able to find any! As much as I've loved it and I've more than had my money's worth (coin doubler) it's starting to feel a bit tedious now.
Hello! Hope you're all having a great weekend. I'll try my best to cover what's been going on the last day. So onwards with replies.... Hi ProperChopper, we are aware of a couple of different types of lock-ups that seem to be happening as well as the rapid air depletion bug (which occurs when the turn manager gets stuck in a loop for some reason.) We're investigating all of these issues and hopefully we'll start ironing them all out over the next couple of updates. Seems like a few people are having this problem but not everyone. We're looking into why this might be. In some instance we count re-discoveries so the missions should still be easy enough to finish but it's possible something has gone amiss with that mission. Hopefully it's something we can sort out for an upcoming update. We'll keep you all posted! As for the mine stats, we'll check that too. Might just be the game isn't updating the counter. Thanks for pointing this out though! 500ish metres is currently the deepest depth for content but the ocean is vast and wide...well actually will generate infinitely until you run out of air. There's only so much content the two of us could work into the game for release but we hope to add a bunch more content across all depths in a future update. If the game proves popular enough there's also scope for adding extra depths at a later date so who knows what the future may hold!? Yup. Mr Bez should be right there. Restore purchases should give you back the coin doubler on a device with the same iTunes account. We' are going to be looking into iCloud saves soon as it seems to be something requested by a fair few people but it might not be for a couple of updates as we'll have to tread carefully so as not to screw up everyones save states. Surprised more people haven't noticed this little option ;-D Basically it was our way of saying thanks / being an extra incentive / secret thing that unlocks for those who buy the 5 million coin IAP. It's just a bit of fun that's purely cosmetic but you literally unlock a ship-load of coins. All boats will have piles of money bags and coins on them which you can then choose to turn on / off in the menus. That's about it from me for now. I'm off to sleep a million zzz's after a hectic week / weekend. Should have some more news on update stuff Monday / Tuesday but I'll probably poke my head in here a bit between now and then.
Made myself a wee desktop LINK Dave the dev mentioned maybe working up more variations/sizes soon... which sounds good.
Is there a possibility in the game to skip a mission or buy it in the shop? I have currently 2 missions that are in relation with finding locations and that is kind of frustrating.
New personal best! 703m deep! Almost broke 100,000 coins in a single dive! Also, I noticed that according to the profile screen, coins received through the coin doubler aren't technically earned, ouch! Way to make everyone who paid for the coin doubler feel like a cheater.
Very good - it's only taken me 4 days but I just noticed that one of the boats is called the crafty tug. Very, very well done.
Thanks for getting back to me/us. Glad to see you're on top of it all. The only other bug I've noticed is that the trophy for setting off ten mines hasn't popped, for some reason. Anyway, great work. I was impressed when I heard tht only two people made the game, so was intrigued to watch the credits. Imagine my surprise when I spotted someone I was at university with in the thanks section! Hella coincidence.
Is there any way you can add the feature of uploading high scores when connecting to GC? I got a depth dive I don't think I'll get again any time soon while I was offline, and it wasn't uploaded next time I played. Other than that one very minor 'complaint', I LOVE this game. I'm so hooked. It's actually taken over and knocked Wayward Souls out of my 'go-to' spot. =oD
Got inspired by the Fan Art drive on Facebook so thought I'd torment myself by making some sprites that'll never see the light of day lol. Go easy on me though Edit: Well that didn't come out how I expected lol, hope people have microscopes handy!
Does anyone know how many unique locations there are to be found? Because I have found 59 so far and I need 6 more to finish a mission. I am hoping that there are at least 65, but I am starting to lose hope Also, where do I find the center statue for the Terracotta collection? I am only missing that piece and the center fossil and I'll have all 18 collections done.
I had an awesome dive (or at least I thought it was until I saw TRB4's 70k coin dive) at around 280m and got 40k coins and finally got the 3 new locations in a single dive mission. When the mission accomplished thing came up, I tapped next and then something odd happened. My next mission auto-completed right after (5k coins in a single dive) and didn't give me a new mission. This shouldn't happen because I don't think new missions are cumulative for your current dive. Later on in the dive, I "completed" the 5k coin in a single dive mission for real, and it gave me my next mission of killing at least 3 creatures using the puffer fish. I didn't have much air left at this point so I didn't complete the mission. My dive ended and now when I tap on the missions tab on the home screen, my current missions don't display and the screen is just blank water/sky screen with no way out but to close the app. So I thought to try pausing the game mid-dive to view the missions, but the screen just darkens indicating the pause menu is up, but nothing else appears and I have to close the app. I tried completing this mission and ended up killing 6 creatures in 1 dive using the puffer fish expansion but the mission won't complete, so I think it's broken. Seems like a tough bug to replicate/fix, but I hope you can look into it!
Yes, you need to find their statues and they unlock automatically. I think they are in the purple depths.
I've got 62 now, but somehow people are getting over 250 Funny, those are the 2 I'm missing from the collections too! I don't know about others, or if this is even accurate enough to warrant spoiler tags, but Spoiler I saw the Dan+Ben statue (both appear in the same spot) a few times when I was heading to the left or right during my 80m and 100m dives.
Thanks for the info! It seems that some people get credit EVERY time they find a location, where as others only get credit the very FIRST time they find a location. Not sure what determines which way your game works. If it helps the devs track down the bug, I am playing on an iPod touch 5g running iOS 7.1.2 As for the last 2 pieces of loot, has anyone finished the fossils and/or Terracotra set yet? Just wondering if I am unlucky, or if there is a problem with that loot.
