I usually don't go evangelizing like this in other threads, but if you're a shmup fan you absolutely need to check out Dandy. It's an amazing shmup rogue-like.
YES!!! lol... but I LOVE it! I've only hit 80mil. ATM. I keep getting stuck on the boss around that area. I've almost got it though. =oD I can only imagine what the Heaven stage 0 is like... only 7 players on that board ATM. =o/ I'm sure I'll be more than pleasantly surprised, as I have been throughout what I've played of the game so far. =oD **edit** So, I just hit 180 million on stage 0. That boss... Those stars... =oO I was shocked, and lost a life right after the bomb trigger cause I couldn't move the ship, so I thought the game was done. Was able to move after, but no clue when the ship became functional again, or even if that moment I couldn't move it was my phone playing catchup. I'm running it with the highest graphics setting on my junky iP5. But other than that... =oP When that's the ONE negative thing you can say about a game, you've got a friggin masterpiece.
WOOHOO!!! I cleared Normal!!! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE stage 0!!!! And I hit #2 on the stage 0 normal board!!! Woooo!!!!! Damnit I love this game!
Really great!! I have to say this, "You are the best!". Try to upload replay video to Everyplay? Next is the Heaven. I wonder how many people on the TA forum cleared the stage 0. Only syntheticvoid?
=oD Haha. Thanks so much! I spent all day trying to get another run in while recording, and finally managed to. https://everyplay.com/videos/20184705 I beat my last score but couldn't move into the #1 spot on the boards. =oP I'm curious how many other have made it... We have some AMAZING bullethell gamers here on TA, I know I'm not the only one. =oP
OMG!!! Update!!! We can restart stages from the pause menu!! Holy crap! Lol... Seriously, we've been asking for this for years. I think this is the first time it's been implemented. =oP THANK YOU!!!! Ha... And MFi support. Pretty psyched about that. I'll have to get use to playing sideways and backwards. I've done it with Phoenix, I'm sure I can here too. =oD
Watched your replay. Great score, 210 millions! I can't reach that. Version 1.1.0 is out today. What's New in Update: - MFi Controller support - Improve usability of touch screen control - Add restart button in the pause menu - Revise text - Some tweaks
Thank you! I'd been meaning to post here asking for this feature, because the lack of it was the only thing that annoyed me about playing. Now the game is perfect. Such a brilliant game! I'm looking forward to trying the MFi support also.
I just hit Stage 0 earlier and played it a few times. I've only reached the part where there is this snake-like laser pattern that homes in on you and you needed to pass through this thin passage. But now my brain is fried. I need to rest up and go to work and will try again later. Man this game is so so so good.
Nice work, synth! I've been distracted this past week (looking in your direction, Horizon Chase) and haven't played much. Think I've only reached Level 2 so far on Normal. I'll have to put some time in soon. Honestly, I think this game and the first .Decluster are the best bullet-hell shmups available on iOS. And that includes Sunny Tam's Danmaku games, CAVE's ports, and Kenta Cho's classic rRootage. I'd listen to dissenting opinions on this but my conviction would remain. .Decluster!!
Just got done playing through a couple stages with my MOGA... The controls are great. Personally, I couldn't be happier with the speed of the ships movement, the default control layout (it felt so good I didn't even check to see if it could be customized before starting to write this post-:- it is, COMPLETELY customizable: movement speed [up to 2x default speed], and assign buttons) was just perfect for me. It'll still take a little while to get use to playing sideways. But... Whatever... =oP I'm sure those of you with Bluetooth/wifi controllers (who don't have to lock your phone in a certain position to play) will have no issues whatsoever. =oD And yeah, I'm gonna say it too... This is my favorite bullet hell title on the AppStore.
Just played it for a bit with my CTRLi and iPad 4, and the controller support is perfect. I like it with the sensitivity at 200%. Finally I have a bullet hell game other than Phoenix I can play with a controller, plus I like this game a lot more than Phoenix anyway. As far as the best iOS bullet hell, for me this game is right up there with the Cave games, though I couldn't say I like it better. I do think it has probably the most interesting bullet patterns, but I kind of miss the visual variety and more complex scoring mechanics of the Cave games. Thankfully I don't have to choose one over the other.
Thank you guys!! I didn't realize how important the restart function is. I read some AppStore reviews which ask to implement the restart, so I tried. "Move Sensitivity" doesn't affect the speed of your ship during using MFi controller. It affect the touch screen control only. When you hold the fire button (default A) for a while, the speed of your ship slows down. Releasing the button, you can move fast. This behavior can change in the Button Assign menu. ("Hold for low-speed movement" switch, (default ON)) Sideways means landscape mode?
Hi guys! .Decluster Zero is out today on the Apple TV App Store. New features have been added for the Apple TV version. - New Ship Type - Option Type and Capture Type are available. - Continue - You can continue when the game is over. - Screen Pivot - Sound Test - Wallpaper Settings - Visual Optimization Of course, Siri Remote and MFi-Controller are supported.
Darn, it's getting harder for me to resist buying an Apple TV, with all these iOS games I like being ported to it. Don't know why I need one given that I already have an Xbox, but, tempting.
Oh NICE. I'll definitely check this out later today and report back with impressions. I've been wary of games on the Apple TV because of controls--I like the tactility of a touchscreen--but .Decluster is so good that I'm really intrigued with the big screen possibilities. Keep up the great work, Masayuki Ito!
Great job, Masayuki. The game plays as well as it's possible to play with the Siri remote. I have no doubt that the experience with an MFI controller would be absolute solid gold. I still prefer the good old iPhone touchscreen, but that was probably inevitable. On the other hand, it's .Decluster on a big screen!
