Curious to see how guilds develop in the future. Love how quickly you can get a game in, but dive into the long game with the special dungeons should you so choose
Yeah, yer right, Mabinogi Duels is a very nice casual CCG. The freemium trappings and insane writing just makes that hard to see sometimes
It's tied to Gamecenter. No way to re-roll on this one unless you use a different GC account. (2 periods used. that's new record for me.) Edited : But, in the settings menu, there are 'load' and 'link' buttons available, so you might give that a try.
The capture system seems buggy. It increases on fails, but it resets to 5% at the start of each spin.
I think that's how it's supposed to work but honestly, it shouldn't given the amount of fusion, leveling up, and evolving you need to do on mostly 3 star captures seems ridiculous. Captures should straight capture. Even if you do, it's a super long road for any value out of one 3 star IMO. Has anyone used rebirth yet? I have some maxed 3 stars that could be rebirths w once I max their fusion. I assume it makes them a 1 star with 4 star potential. Again....long road. I highly recommend getting starter packs too. I went for premium packs and though it rounded my army nicely, I'm definitely a leg behind in online match ups with those fire and water legendaries. Overall, decent game. Enjoying it so far but I have a feeling it will eventually drain on me.
The increased capture rate is raised per stage only. If you go to the next stage it is at 5% (until you raise that stage's capture rate). If you repeat the same stage you will see the increased capture rate. I have had to get it to 40 or 45% each time to get a capture (just bad luck?).
Didnt know it was per stage...even more of a bummer. I think the highest i got was either 30 or 35%. As energy rates go up in the game, I can easily see playing a single level multiple times, spending all energy and not getting a single capture. Like I said, its almost too long a road to even be worth anything. I guess it gives you something to do during the week after you get all the weekly things you can in like 2 days. I can at least appreciate that they give you a way to get some 3 star units, but it just takes too long.
This looks interesting, I've been looking for something different than what other card games can offer at the moment. will definitely give it a try.
I like it... love the quick, simple play. The only thing I worry about it that it looks like people can whale up and buy a full deck of legendaries and roll everyone. If that's the case ranked play is questionable. I may be wrong. Great polish, nice art theme, events, and several ways to earn the 6(!) currencies. Lots of carrots being dangled in front of you to chase, guild and chat system which you don't see in CCGs like this. Hopefully it gets a large player base, as DeNa is known to just yank a game's plug if it isnt' doing well. We'll see. It's good so far.
That is pretty subjective. I personally hate Shadowverse (and Hex has been forever ruined for me by their poor KS support) but I like this one quite a bit. Duelyst on mobile will be great (could still be a ways off) and I like this much more than HS, and a little bit more than TESL. Immersive could mean a lot of things. This game does have a lot of lore, intricate deck building, and a massive amount of single player content. Hope that can help someone make a decision. I personally try all of the free ccg/tcg games.
Still hoping more people will hop onto this one. It is a fantastic card game with a great deal of depth! Here are some tips for new and old players that I discovered through my time playing: 1. Read the full help docs! They are long, yes, but will really help you understand a lot of the nuance of the game. To get to them, tap the "3 horizontal lines" button at the top right of the home screen, then choose the "settings" tab, then choose "Help". The full docs are in there, as well as a place to contact the developer if you have a problem. All of my other tips are not found in the help docs. 2. Capture rates are per card, not per stage (as I previously reported). If a card can be captured in multiple stages (such as Magnus the Bold early on), your capture rates for that card will persist within each stage that has that card as a capture reward. Once you capture him, all stages that have him as a capture reward will of course reset back to 5%. 3. If you go over the fusion limit (as the help docs mention you can do), those cards are saved untili you evolve. If you evolve an (A) card at 7/5 fusions, you will be left with a (B) card at 1/5 fusions and an (A) card with 2/5 fusions. Both will be at level 1. 4. This also works with max-evolved (C) cards. If you Rebirth a (C) card at 8/5 fusions, you will have a (C) card at 1/5 that will immediately fuse with the other 3 cards making a level 1 (C) card at 4/5 fusions. This is beneficial to get those rare essences from evolving/rebirthing. 5. There are emotes in PvP! They are not documented and if you aren't looking for them they are easy to miss! In the middle of the battlefield (the play area, not your or your opponent's hand) on the right side is an arrow pointing to the left (towards the center). Tap that to have a panel slide open to the left and you'll see emotes you can tap. Your emotes will always be on the right side of the board, and your opponent's will always be on the left side. Well that's all I have for now. Anyone else have any tips?
main tip is to go over to the games forums. seems to be easier to find more general strategy and help than these ones since its only one thread. https://forum.deckstorm.com Other tips i find helpful: - Save your soulgems for the 2 starter packs in the cards section. They guarantee a water and fire legendary and will give you 3 solid legendaries in each element. - Once you have the starter packs, use soulgems on the 3000 pack in the premium section. This nets you the best chance of a legendary in either its 3/5, 4/5, or 5/5 state. It will be the featured legendary of that week so make sure its the one you want. You may not get it in your pack (not guaranteed like the starter packs), but its a higher chance than the 1500 packs and generally holds more value. - Its still debatable as to which of the starstone packs is better - the 300 pack or the 1000 pack. The 300 pack nets you the same amount of featured cards for 100 less, but the 1000 pack gets you another card. Neither have been confirmed on the chances of getting 3 and 4 star cards though so its kind of a 'choose which is best for you' situation right now. I personally get the 300 ones since they are cheaper and the feature card typically nets you a better card. So in the long run, i get more featured cards than those buying the 1k packs, but less extra cards overall. - Play arena ALOT. Its the only steady source of sunstones which are very very very helpful for fusion cards. You can get sunstones from fulfilling certain quests/puzzles, but these are once in a while and you will want a lot of sunstones to keep evolving high level cards. Plenty of other tips, but check the forums for more. best place to do it.
Check out lost portal. Really enjoyed it, finished it with 4 decks already, and the dev is really active with the community too.
I am just getting a bit into his game and all Touch Arcade guilds were full with 30 day inactive leaders... made my own "Tocuh Arcade" join whenever you Ike, if I got inactive I will make sure to pass the lead over and hope that other leaders do the same. Cheers!
I just got an in-game announcement that this game is being discontinued as of October 31. There is a full explanation but I wanted to let people know so they wouldn't spend any money (in my case, more money) on IAP. Bummer, since I liked the game, but at least they gave some notice. If you have the game, the details are in the game when you open it.
