Test different combinations to learn how to master the cards in your own unique way and save the world! Story: There was once a mysterious land where weapons, magic and items were embodied in special cards. Ones who studied the art of handling these all-powerful cards over long years were called “card-users,” and the five kings of the land relied on them to maintain peace and balance. However, one day, reports of monsters attacking towns and travelers suddenly spread throughout all the kingdoms. At that time, a young boy began a journey in Firsta, a land known for its bold adventurers. What secrets will he uncover in his quest to becoming a master card-user? Graphics & Sound -Classic, retro-style pixel art -Colorful characters like guild clerks and card shop owners create a unique world for the tale to unfold in. -Exciting battle music! Play with the volume up! System & Tutorial 1: Deck making -Choose 20 cards to build a deck. You can have multiple cards of the same type. -Focus on aggressive attacks, support abilities or any other style. Try to find your own winning combination. -Your hit points (HP) differ depending on what deck you use. It is important to maintain a balance between cards with powerful techniques and ones that grant a lot of HP. 2: Battles -A horde of deadly monsters awaits you. Tailor your deck to the strengths and weaknesses of your foes! -Buy new cards with reward money for clearing out monsters! Equip yourself with new, powerful weapons as you fight your way across the land. -Different cards are available in different towns. Can you collect every type of card in your explorations? 3: Adventuring tips -The Guild will always offer new monster-hunting jobs and tell you where monsters can be found. -The adventurers that gather at the Guild have plenty of good information. They may even tell unusual tales that don’t involve the usual monster talk. Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #10 Vovin, Apr 28, 2011 Last edited: Apr 28, 2011 This game is really, really cool! Highly polished presentation, very nice graphics (and cool drawing style with full-screen pics), the card trading and battles are fun, even the sound effents and music are nice. Only little drawback is the simplifies English language. Not spelling errors, more shortened sentences without filling words, but not disturbing at all. You always know what to do. You'll get into the game in seconds, it's totally simple to understand, the controls are precise and on the spot whereever you tap. It also seems that there is a huge ammount of content in this game, it goes from some places around a town with some towns in one region (lands) and five different lands overall. You'll basically start out as a young adventurer with just a few magic cards and have to become a true card master by fighting monsters, getting more cards and a better and better deck. There is always enough to do and you can chose in which order you fulfill your quests. You'll get quests by persons or your Card Master Guild and after obtaining them, you'll venture out to batlle monsters in card fights. This quicky becomes strategic, because you'll always have to fit your deck to all the different monsters to be successful in battle against them. There are a lot of cards to aquire, and as the game progresses, you are able to use stronger cards until you have the cards which bestow you with great power. There are not only attack, but also supporting cards. Cards have attack values and special abilities and may add points to your HP. Conclusion of these first impressions? IMHO, this game is a winner. When you loved Sword & Poker or other games of that style, when you're a RPG freak or love collectible card games, try this game. The game is sold for an introductory price at the moment. Price is, from everything I saw 'til now, absolutely reasonable. For those that have played and liked Guns&Pirates, its by the same company. Your adorable little adventurer explores one of five overworld zones that are broken up by a grid. Each cell of the grid contains a central town and then several outlying areas that are exposed to you when talking to a member of the town guild. Guild members send you on mini-quests that consist primarily of kill monster x, at the beginning of the game, at least. Before traveling to an encounter, you can purchase cards from the shopkeeper, if you have enough gold to do so. There are quite a large number of cards in total, but you choose up to 20 to bring to battle. Each card allows for a new tactic in combat, and oftentimes you buy more that one of the same card, so that they are sure to come up in the random draw during battle. Battles take place from a side view with teeny-tiny little monsters doing their idle animations and a some effects here and there, or sometimes larger, more menacing creatures. You are always warned what you're getting yourself into and you can even escape mid-battle if you are in over your head. Pleasant medieval music plays throughout and the whole affair is just loaded with charm. I really like this game for it's presentation and simplicity, even though it can be a bit of a grind, at times. Personally, I'll be able to get my money's worth out of it quite easily and I feel like it may be a hidden gem. Almost no loading times make this possible. freedog Well-Known Member Mar 11, 2009 6,272 0 0 #14 freedog, Apr 28, 2011 Thanks for the impressions Vovin. This game is pretty dope, I'm playing it right now. I can tell by the UI it was made specifically for the iOS. The story and setup of everything seems to be well-designed so far. The goal of the game is straight forward, it's all about acquiring the better cards and adding the ones you choose to your deck. You take on different enemies but have to fight the weaker enemies first to get enough gold so you can purchase new cards from merchants in each area. Once you have acquired some good cards you can take on tougher foes and be successful. There is a "guild" to go to that supplies info on the different monsters in the game. The world/map seems to be pretty big and I think the gameplay is engaging. Appears to be plenty of strategy and depth. Some cool looking enemies too. I like it, I say the game is worth it.
