Unless they found some issues or simply they hadn’t properly finished it and it was released too early ? so far I’m loving it. One of the best games I’ve played the last few months.
It looks pretty polished to me! My guess is that they have a marketing plan that includes prerelease advertising, etc.
I freaking LOVE this game. Just wanted to share this. 100% in the game, touch controls only. 92 hours on the clock. Holy heck, one of the absolutely best metroidvania games - and games in general - on iOS. Did make my phone hella hot though. And touch controls are not the best way to play for sure. But it’s doable!
@Echoseven damn that’s a whole lot of playtime and high praise. Although the control thing worries me, dead cells was doable with touch but I was far better at it on console with a controller. Wondering if I need to finally invest in a control.
I always play games with touchscreen and I’m finding this game totally fine. No way I’m getting a joystick out on a train or bus !
To be honest I’m not sure that the timer is correct. I’ll raise it with the developer. 92 hours in less than 7 days means 13 hours a day… I played a LOT of this game, but not THAT much. Touch controls are okay with a bit of patience and muscle memory. They do a great job of ramping up gradually and introducing new mechanics and buttons in a way that’s not overwhelming, but by the end there’s a lot to press. I’m not bragging when I say I’m good at gaming; and I’m 100% certain that not everyone can complete the game with touchscreen controls. But a lot of the super hard stuff is side missions, and the mainline is very doable with some understanding of the mechanics and what they’re expecting you to do.
