Sorry — I meant the game, not the video. But you are right: we’ll see. FWIW, the game is a bit clunky on the Switch, though it has improved since it was released.
IMO mobile games shouldn't have controller support since not all mobile users has them. Mobile games should support touch controls - this is mandatory. Joystick input is just a feature.
Welp, this certainly is a take. I mean, I'm known to never have connected a controller to any of my devices (and most probably never will) and I'll defend touch controls (even shitty ones) till the end of time, but suggesting that mobile games shouldn't even have support for controllers in the first place (hell, when console controllers are officially supported even) is really, really weird. What harm does including support for controllers do?
Perhaps I was wrong when I said that mobile devices shouldn't have controller support at all. In fact, playing with controllers is several times more convenient rather than playing with touch input. And here's an important catch. For example, technically you can realize all gamepad buttons on the screen, there are no restrictions. But this will completely ruin whole gameplay since it is inconvenient to press all those buttons while in game. We can observe this in mobile shooter games such as Call of Duty or PUBG. Therefore, when developing mobile games, there are many conventions: enemies should be simpler, boss fights easier, and so on. But what if it's a multiplayer game or maybe games with scoreboard? In this case, players with gamepads will have a clear advantage over players with touch devices, and this is already a problem. How fair do you think this is? That’s why controller support may stay only as a feature.
Well, that sucks, and after reading a review stating that touch control having issues, I cancelled my preorder.
Your argument looks like something you came up as you were writing. If a person cares so much about online competitiveness, then the person should just purchase a controller. It’s not like a controller costs a fortune. Also, in one post, your opinion shifted from a game shouldn’t have a controller support, to a controller support should be left as a feature. I suggest you get your opinion and logic straight before start writing.
In fact, even in my first post, I wrote that controller support is just a feature... This means that controller support is not something that developers should add in every mobile game. And as you see some users agree with me.
I'll be downloading this in a few over data, and I'll try to chime in as soon as possible. In the meantime...RELEASE THREAD!
