ok, now it is clear, thanks for explanation. tried to pump the shoot power and used the wing blade and yep, hard mode is quite easy then, thanks for advice.
Ive beaten hard a few times but every time i get to the dreameaters banishing sequence I fail and i know he must drop a good unique. The wing blade i think is the more powerful weapon as stated by a few thread posters it drops bosses the quickest its just surviving the stage where it gets hard, i had to ccrave for the lucky charm as to get the better 9x items like the moms pendant. The best ring i think is the crystal skull as it adds more to your overall stats.
The Dream Eater drops the Haunt Scissors (Casper's Weapon) which has the highest laser stat in the game. Oddly enough, the first who-knows-how-many times I beat hard, I never got the scissors (even post Lucky Charm), but once I got the first drop, I think I got 2 more within the next 3 runs. I guess I just happened to get really weird RNG rolls. I kind of wish they never put in the boss transformation thing. It wasn't even fun/cool the first time, and now it's just annoying. I like to farm while doing something else (reading/watching a video/etc), and it's really annoying those times when I happen to be looking away the moment a boss dies and I miss the first selection.
just completed hard and failed the sequence for the 4th time probably i shouldnt get it but its the only unique in game weapon im missing.
Hard just got easy So, by luck of the draw... the first time i cleared hard i got the Scissors. (they give 310 laser) ALSO, if anyone reading this doesnt know, the Dodonpachi Ressurection shot (with around 550 power ) is stronger than laser at 999 power. I have 999 laser and its still weaker. also, i got the DDPDFK shot and just sailed to Dream Eater
Holy crap, you're right. At 680 shot it does as much if not more damage than a Haunt Scissors at 800+.
Oh wow, nice tip. I also tried swapping out my 9x Wing Blade for the Resurrection weapon and I'm pretty sure it's stronger too. I was able to kill all of the bosses at slightly earlier phases than usual. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that there's more beams. Maybe the formula for weapon damage doesn't work quite as one might expect.
well then it sucks if iaps are stronger than other weapons in the game. anyway got scissors and it's great, now hard mode is like normal.
nice but im not spending a dime more on iaps. I just want the scissors and im good @dazareth i cleared hard last night finally getting the sequence correct and all i got was a crappy ring . Is there a difference if i clear the gorge before hades castle to get better drops?...as i always skip the gauge if im not farming for items.
I doubt the Gorge changes the Castle's droprate, but it's not like I can really prove it one way or another. You're going to find that the Dream Eater's droprate is piss poor (without the Lucky Charm). He drops the Gauntlet a huge percentage of the time, which is actually an item you can get in Novice. I'm not saying you need to go and buy the Lucky Charm, but be prepared for the frustration that the rest of us had when we were trying to farm pre-patch. If you manage to get the Scissors within 20 drops, I would consider yourself very lucky. I killed the Dream Eater wayyy more times than that before I ever saw my first Scissors.
I actually bought the lucky charm as that was the only way i could have completed hard and i also got the scissors after so many failed sequences, lucky me lol. Also what is the strongest weapon and best layout, from weapon to ring?
Question to anyone who has the DDP Ressurection IAP weapon; The preview shows 6 demon familiars; is that how it really is in-game and how does that work with the suicide bullet absorbing?
The 'extra' familiars are partially transparent, and flicker, and don't cancel anything. Your regular familiar is still present and works as usual.
HoW??? I managed to get a little over 206 million on iPhone mode normal, then I checked the High scores.whoa!! How do they do it? Scores over 500 million?
Take a look at ColdCoffee's guide. Be sure to have some score-modifying gear like the Satan Doll or Queen's Heels. And kill things with the appropriate weapon.
Looks like theres an update for Deathsmiles: The one I highlighted is the one I'm looking forward to. I hope it means using manual shot, the character won't get stuck anymore! =D
Buying the extra drop item made this game a lot more fun. I finally got enough drops that hard at least seems doable with a couple continues at least, instead of insanely impossible. I would rather the drop rates not be so ridiculous, but I have loved every cave schmup on iphone, so I wasn't worried about throwing money their way.
well then, also with +500 weapon, it is possible to get around 300m or a bit more, not close to highscores on the gc, so it seems like there are more tricks.
