Must be nice, for some reason some achievements never unlocked for me even though it popped up at the top of the screen like the first time I sold an item or when I found a unique item. Very annoying, hopefully they fix it.
There's an item in the Japanese wiki that Google Translate lists as "resist ring" with 0/0/0/0/100/100 stats. Does anyone know where this item drops? The wiki says the volcano on H, but I've run through hard mode quite a bunch of times with the lucky charm and I just wanted to confirm if it actually drops there. On a different note, if you were curious, getting 9x of a unique does give the 1.5x bonus, so you can have a 435 shot Wing Blade without having to use the rest of Windia's set. The stats cap at 999 though.
so, will that stack with the set bonus? I realize you said you were capped at 999, but it helps other stats too...
yep, i think i got it there. unique items have some strange stats, for example wand of justice has the same laser power like blue lantern but it is not so powerful in game.
Yes, it gives a 1.5x bonus to the stats. No, the 9x bonus and set bonus are both 1.5x and they do not stack. Getting 9 of a unique is nice because it gives you the bonus without forcing you to wear the other items in the set (most of which are pretty bad).
ok, well say I have 9 satan dolls. does that give me 1.5 x 4 = 6x more gold? or is the bonus just applied to actual stats?
Haha.. that would be a fast way of getting money. I'm curious as well. Trying to grind up to 4mil for the last continue is taking a while (but I'm not playing it everyday anymore...) I know I know..I can just buy the 5 continues.. =D lol..
Bleh, so Synthetic's excitement over the wingblade got me in the mood to play a bit and I was lucky and dropped one on my second play (A1-B2 then restart). It's...well it is strong, but I kind of like the blue lantern and pumpkin mask combo more. I am terrible at scoring with it. On normal with blue lantern I'm getting about 320m and only 225m with the wingblade - this is entirely because switching between shot and laser is too much for me to concentrate on just yet, but still. Also, on normal mode it kills the bosses before their intro animations have even finished. They don't even get a chance to fire off any bullets. A bit more useful in hard mode as I die less, but I can finish with the blue lantern anyway (but use all my continues - I forget how many I have, no IAP and I haven't yet got the 4,000,000 one.) Can anyone recommend a good equipment set to go with the wingblade that will give me a usable laser? Not concerned with any stats other than laser and shot.
I've got 9 Wing Blades so there is a nice jump in stats with the extra bonus (x1.5 of stats). This is asking for a bit much but it would be cool if you would automatically get the gold equal to what you would get if you sold an item if you already have the max of 9 of them.
the best laser equipment in the game i think are white shoes, dropped by hellhounds on Valley and Papillon Dress, dropped by Cyclops on the first stage. and why wing blade is better than blue lantern on hard?
For scoring it still really isn't (in my case at least) but it makes the bosses and larger enemies -much- easier. I think the best example is Whroom, with blue lantern I end up having to dodge the small silver apples coming from the right and top for ages and almost always end up wasting my bombs or dying, but with the wing blade Whroom dies so fast he barely even has time to start the third set of attacks (annoying silver apple crap). If you were having trouble finishing hard mode with the blue lantern you'd probably have a much better shot with the wing blade, but if you're doing fine with the blue lantern already you may be better off just sticking to that. =/ Another thing that I find difficult about the wing blade is never really being able to lock the demon familiar in place with laser as the shot power is too much to give up. Once the suicide bullets start things get pretty hard. I'm having to start as close to the enemies as possible then very slowly back away whilst jiggling up and a down so that the familiar does half circles in front and collects the suicide bullets, but then you -really- have to concentrate on the other bullets.
tried to make a run with the wing blade instead of blue lantern and it's not so powerful, even with lock mode. i also tried with wand of justice and blue lantern, without pumpkin mask. so laser power is the same 720, but again blue lantern deals with bosses better. would be cool to get nine lanterns to get the bonus but it's hard even with the charm. well, i have some problems with hard even with such power, basically i can clear all stages without using continues but then the the final castle eats them all. the familiar behavior is a bit strange, i can move it only when shoot mode is on, with laser on it stays on the same position and only changes the sides if following mode is on too.
Are you using shot or laser? The Wing Blade is significantly more powerful than the Blue Lantern when using shot. Its laser stat is lower though.
i use laser shoot, but wing blade has only slightly better shoot power than blue lantern, why should it be more significantly powerful, or unique items has other stats?
