There are already some item that increase drop rate, but the effect is questionable and most people said it doesnt show any effect. I hope the next one will really increase it though.
well, given that no drop rate item boosts it more than 50%, you're not exactly going to be picking up thorn whips every time. if the drop rate is 1% (theoretically, I have no idea what it actually is), with the extra tacked on you'd still be at 1.5%. even if it was 10%, equipping the item would only get you 15%. hopefully the next items have more of a 2x or 4x drop rate, although 4x might be a little game-breaking.
I've finally unlocked the normal mode, & damn I'm really struggling now on normal mode. The enemies seem much stronger & harder to kill. I'd really appreciate any helpful tips. Thanks
Had the same feeling, but difficulty will decrease as long as you play. You'll get some new item in treasure chests which will give you more power, then you'll find the normal mode really "easy" to play
The sets that you can buy in the shop from novice/normal are pretty good until you can get the Blue Lantern + Pumpkin Mask. Make sure you use the full set as you get 1.5x the stats as a bonus. The BL+PM set lasted me until I was able to get Windia's weapon, which allowed me to beat hard (still takes me a bajillion continues, though). Remember that as long as you can kill 2 bosses per run, it's effectively the same as being able to kill 6. You can get any of the gear from the first 6 levels in that case.
man, I'm STILL trying to get the blue lantern. I go c1-b2 over and over and over again, and still can't get it, even though I have three pumpkin masks. I think I'm cursed. T_T
ha... I can't get it either... I've got 9 Pumpkin masks... (have gotten WAY more than that...) - but yet to get a Blue Lantern... =o/
^ Yeah, actually, let me change my advice. The best thing you can do is be really ****ing lucky. Get yourself a handful of clovers, rabbit's feet, and whatever other superstitious charms you can think of, and then cross your fingers and hope that the right stuff drops.
If the IAP is anything like the first one, then it will be a joke. I had better stuff from normal and I had barely been playing the game due to summer school courses at university ripping me up. I have been wanting to play this more than I have been able to. I highly doubt cave would put an IAP in the game that was"necessary" to purchase....it should be like the first DLC, which made it easier for people who were having a hard time even on easy because they aren't top schmup players on their phones.
based on the screenshots i think that the new IAP will change the shot and laser shot of tiara, like the bow and arrows actually shoot out arrows instead of miniature umbrellas!
Got the unique item (wand of justice), hmmm, and thanks to that finally managed to beat the hard mode, using lock-shot, which is really a pain in the ass to use.
yeah. anyone have tricks on how to properly control the familiar movement? it is just way too hard to fully control it when using follet's weapon, although i must admit it is the most powerful lock shot there.
Lol..I finally tried using that and can actually survive the boss fights much better.. Of course, surviving the level is another problem! lol..
For what it's worth, I finally picked up Blue Lantern from Sakura in B-2. I don't know if it matters but I was using shot with the golden umbrella. I had been trying for some time with witch staff (which I liked more) but getting nothing.
I don't think what you kill em with matters unless it has +item drop on it. after what seems like hundreds of c1-b2 runs, i finally got mine this weekend too! and then just to make me feel really dumb, I got another one right on the next playthrough. lol interestingly enough, as my power gets higher, my scores on normal are actually dropping. I think I'm killing things too quickly in power up mode to get tons of items from them. just gotta keep running normal till that satan doll drops...then headlong into hard mode. where I can run c1-b2 a million more times, hahaha
Am I missing something? Once you purchase equipment, is it automacticly installed or do I have to tap it to install it?
