Hey guys, here is a little guide i wrote on Deathsmiles! Hope its helpful and you like it! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=1818156#post1818156 Feedback would be appreciated
I don't get what use the laser is either. In DDP-R it makes a lot of sense because it is used to block laser attacks, in Deathsmiles, it just seems extraneous which means I'm probably missing something rather important.
Just watched an xbox360 video of this game to compare... Omg iPhone4, I love you. Basically identical... simply amazing job Cave!!! Retina or not, this game is breathtaking in action with sweet graphics. Easily one of the best shmup's I've played on any console. Money very well spent.
i have a question since i want to make my power up mode duration longer, i decided to turn off the auto shoot function. but i noticed when i play using that setting, i cannot use my regular shots anymore, all my shots now are in laser mode. does it have any disadvantages whatsoever if i cant use regular shots? because i know that certain monsters give more items when using laser or lock on shots. but are there monsters that give more items when using regular shots?
It's like a regular arcade shot button when you turn auto shot off, so you have to tap it for the regular shot, while holding it gives you the laser.
so basically it only fires regular shots when im tapping it? so the regular shots are only in short bursts? because if i hold it for long it will turn into laser? *edit: nvm already got it ! thanks a lot hehe
lmao!!!! Can just see it - Tiny Wings, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump, Monopoly, DEATHSMILES, Hanging With Friends, Flick Golf, Family Feud, Connect 4, UNO...
Does anyone else find iPhone hard difficulty much harder than the arcade mode? I can actually beat the game for arcade hard difficulty (using maybe all 6 continues and playing the EX/gorge), but in iPhone mode I can barely pass 2 stages (only 3 continues..saving up gold for the 4th continue).
Using the correct equipments will help you for sure. For me, I focused on Lock (currently 500+), and some Defense+Guard. Currently I can reach the Hard-Extra stage using all 3 continues.
Loved DoDonPachi, so I'll be picking this one up soon as well. I take it the iOS version plays just as well as the console counterparts?
Cool.. I've started trying focusing on one type of weapon.. Its working a little better. =D The rest I guess is just practice... ;-P
