there are rocks embedded in the ground that you must avoid.

it's a simple little "how far can you go before you die" type game.

the twist is that the mini-game controls are simply hold down the screen to raise your worm.

That sounds funny, but that's all there is to it.

Press the screen to raise and if you stop pressing the screen the worm stops going up.

    Meh!

It does not always say "+1 fireball..."
Actually for the first few updates it upgrades the power of the shot
and the ability to burn through several vehicles.
So yes, you probably end up with 4 fireballs per powerup,
but they are much more powerful than those 3 initial.

Endless mode is already almost finished and will appear in one of the nearest updates when properly testes and passed QA.

BTW, does anyone know if we can get 'control' over this thread ? :)
We would like to be able to edit thread title and the initial post
(such as add new links to external press reviews, post news on updates etc, etc)

    Is that possible ?

My point was that after the first few upgrades (extra power, burn through etc) the next one is +1 fireball. This initially works, upgrading to 4 shots, but after that any further upgrades still say +1 fireball, but i never get 5, 6 etc shots.

Seems I wasted my time upgrading fireball fully if there is no benefit past level 3.

Was wondering if this was a bug or some strange, but intended, behavior?

How far do you want it zoomed in? The camera is based on your worm's speed so by just slowing down a tiny bit the camera will start zooming in. Maybe a screenshot of a level with a box that resizes based on a slider, then you could set the maximum distance the game can zoom out while at the maximum speed?

Just to "echo" this statement, I just purchased the first level of the fireball upgrade (extra power) and its giving me the +1 fireball (just got 4 fireballs, not 3 like usual).

yes, the zoom depends on speed. but if speed is high or nitro is on than it's very hard to see small objects.

Or... start a new thread and have this one merged with it. (Or just closed)

also bought smw, just to compare. i must say that time attack mode in smw and zoomed in picture (compared with dw) make smw more fun game. hope updates of dw will improve the playability. but anyway both games are really good and recommended.

I've played for a while SMW, and found the evolution tree to be a bit lacking
the super powers are really underpowered. you need to catch three orbs to trigger them, so spending your upgrades seem expensive.
on the other hand I've tried different evolution and around level 15 it becomes really crazy, the UFO kills you in a couple of shots.

I even tried eating only bigger and harder upgrades and not spending a single fireball until the UFO appears I still can't make it past.

I prefer the speed and HP to be related to the number of stuff you eat, leaving your evolution branches for crazy stuff, like that other flash game does it.

because the upgrades are tied to finishing a stage and not xp, there is basically nothing you can do to increase your strenght and make the challenge easier if its needed. the 15th stage with the stupid flying saucer is cheap.

you never really feel like a giant monster you don't get flying larger jaws spikes full body weapons etc

Practice makes perfect. If the game was easy, it wouldn't be enjoyable. You can swallow small objects (people, animals, birds) by attacking from the side rather than from below. You can hone your aiming skills by trying to hit rocks or boxes (depending on the map).
That's my favourite tactic - hit the rock sending it through the air and watch helicopters, vehicles and people get smashed by it.
Personally I don't bother with nitro and fireball upgrades. I concentrate on size, skin and speed. Increased size makes hittin the objects from below easier.

Yes, we tried to design the game, so that people could find the best tactics suitable for them.
However, in the next update we will introduce a camera zoom slider, so you will be able to control zoom in-game at any time :)
It should solve most compliants about objects being too small.
