I will donate money or pay per update dlc. After all u gotta be paid to keep up the great content and I will sure pay. I buy dlc every console game I buy. I would def pay the minimum of $5 a dlc. Depending on the dlc and size $10-15 a dlc is fine with me. Support the games I truly want and want to keep around. If it's a great game I want to keep around forever . A gta 5 type a deal . As much as I want to win the game I would rather pay to show support for this one . Btw it's probably been said but what's the price for the steam game on release
$15 for Steam. Or like $13.50 if you get it in launch week, looks like Steam does a 10% discount for launch usually. I wonder how to do a "pay per update" thing when we sometimes do updates for multiple games at the same time. Different Patreon for every game?
I think it is the best way, since you would know exactly what people is aiming for. Maybe it would be better a kind of poll and you give then a try with the most popular game. If it works, then move to another one. What do you think? Might be we worth a shot experimenting.
http://toucharcade.com/2016/07/20/death-road-to-canada-pc-release/ - Putting this here for easy reference. Also, I'm releasing the game a couple hours early. 10 pm pacific time tonight! It'll be after a streamer race event we're doing, more news here if you want to check that out: http://www.wouldyoukindly.com/death-road-to-canada-release-event/ There will be a key giveaway. How many keys depends on how far each individual streamer gets! PROBABLY NOT FAR. I think we're finally putting that one away after the Paladin update is out. Except for compatibility updates. I'd like to move on to more games in the same universe, maybe even Mage Gauntlet 2? Yeah I'll think about it. Not sure how to handle it yet. I'll check if Patreon allows that, even, since it seems to mostly be about a person or company making stuff rather than an individual project basis.
Do you guys get the same ammount of money on the launch week? If not, I am going to wait a little to get it on steam. Not that it would make a huge difference for you guys, but I'd like to make every penny count. lol
We get like a dollar less, but getting a lot of sales on the first week is important for climbing the charts.
Def buying as soon as it comes out. Hope you do my idea of paying per update. That way you can tell what people are interested in on each update as well and it will keep me supporting this amazing game
Same. Even if I won't touch PC version, as I will anxiously wait for the iOS one! Wishing that the game lauch is very sucessful and they earn hard cash and praise for their work. This one sounds really unique and I can't wait to play it and make it to Canada (even if the journey is more important than the destination). And dogs. I want dogs!
A question: will I be able to transfer created characters on editor when the game is released on iOS? If I can, maybe the Steam version is going to be useful after all. Lol I might play with ot a little until mobile release.
It's out on PC! http://store.steampowered.com/app/252610 I'd like to do dropbox save support. Could do custom character transfers that way, too. We still need to look into it, though.
I forgot how clumsy buying on Steam is here in Brazil. There's a problem with currency conversion, so I can't buy directly with my credit card. Had to use another method of payment. However, they have to check my info, which might take a day. grrrr Edit: purchased while I was on my way to work. Looking forward to seeing your game later and even more for the iOS release.
This game is very tough. After playing for a couple of hours, the longest run I had was 7 days. Still, the experience in the story and events kept me coming back for more punishment. Anime Girl for the biggest surprise so far. Also, SCREW THE F@$K!N@ BANDITS!!!!!!
What do you think about the game so far? I can't play it until much later. I was never a glutton for punishment, but Wayward Souls changed my view on that and made me fell in love with permadeath and random generated scenerios. This is way too much fun when approached with a "endless runner" (not comparing the genres) kind of mind of enjoying the journey (even death). I have Rocketgames to thank for that! The "one more go" urge is awesome and make every game counts.
Well if the mobile transition is as good as we can expect then I'd say this is the best game of the year on mobile. This game has so much replay value it's through the roof. It's genuinely funny but there are still tough decisions to be made . The scavenging parts of the game are a blast and can get pretty crazy. Love this game ! Can't wait for it to be in my pocket. For now I look forward to the weekends where u can really sink my teeth into this game on my laptop.
This has an entirely different combat mechanics than WS. Searching for precious resources is the primary goal of the raids, where zombies damaging you is the primary obstacle. Healing your party only happens in the narrative parts that appear randomly. Also, even if you have medical resource, it won't heal you unless the one doing it has the skill. I can't thoroughly describe the game mechanics well. What I can say is, in my playthrough today, I kept doing the "one more run" I had with WS. The scenarios in this game are just entertaining that dying is part of the experience rather than a hindrance. The game crashes every now and then (the game will tell you it crashed), but your progress is reliably saved so you can quickly go back. I still wish I could learn how the CYOA works because it's the one that kills you a lot more than the zombies LOL.
Thanks for the imps. Sounds awesome! I am almost playing it on PC before the iOS release. Must resist... Must resi... Must r...
