It would be really sad if my original hypothesis earlier in the year that mobile players would have to wait until 2017 to play come true.
No one "judged" or "trashed" you. We don't agree with your fear, that's all. Rest assured, because I doubt it will be freemium. Almost all ER are freemium or low-entry value. That goes with the genre, for the best or worst. And there's a difference between runner and endless runner. Rayman and Lost Socks are runners, not endless runners, for example.
They've said that they are going to give to the people that port their games to Android after the iOS version is finished. I hope the port doesn't take too long, because the more the merrier.
I totally stopped reading this thread because I know we probably won't see it coming out before 2017 and it makes me sad T-T
That's true ^ in his defense though, they aren't just throwing out a game that's "finished" he is still adding to it and make content updates as well.... Just natural thing would get out of hand timeline wise. Sucks now at the cost of being better in the long run.
yeah they're adding to it(pc version) but it sucks when it comes at the expense of the iOS version. Kappa and the devs have saying that what's taking so long is implementing iOS features. But really, shouldn't they have started earlier on that if it was going to take so long? They aren't amateur devs, they should have a good idea on how long that was going to take from the start. They been saying since the kickstarter that their engine was cross platform development friendly and that both versions would be close. Was that all a lie? Only conclusion I can come up with is that the PC was the sole focus all along and mobile version was the thing that they thought they could just procrastinate on until the last second. Which is unfortunate coming from a dev that was basically built off of mobile money, feels like it's just "hey guys thanks for making our games so successful but we going to be focusing on PC now! K thx bye!"
Madgarden is notoriously bad at estimating development timelines, don't listen to a thing he says. Also, the iOS version already works. I could submit it right now and it'd be passable. But there are other special iOS-specific features that sort of rolled up on us recently, and that has thrown the schedule for a loop. In any case, there's no conspiracy. Targets are just constantly shifting.
Take it easy. Come on! They even have delayed the game on pc by a few years, so that's not fair. Scheduling might be a complicated monster. The "lie" and "cash grabbing" on mobile are uncalled for. Let them work. About the cross platform engine, we should keep in mind that Keppa has been saying that they want to do something special for iOS. As Madgarden has said they probably could submit right now. Damn, even TA has done some stream on iOS version. But they might need more time to round things up. We don't know the entire story.
They are a hard working and wonderful development team and that's all I know. Sure Iv been dying for this and thought it would be out by now as well. But these Devs are awesome. Iv seen the continuously listen to feedback on PC version of this game and give tons on tons of updates already just trying to make things better for the game and the fans, always answering and leaving comments for us as well. I can't ask for more then that from Devs and that's the reason indie Devs are my favorite kind! Keep up what your doing guys! Can't support you enough
