Wonder if a "be the zombie" mode could be implemented somehow in the future. So far nothing has topped Stubbs imo
!!! It's coming to iOS too! This I did not know! Whenever it comes out on iOS I will definitely get it!
Mac E. Mice with his legendary darkslayer http://toucharcade.com/2016/08/10/death-road-to-canada-preview-does-it-surprise-anyone-anymore-that-rocketcat-makes-incredible-games/ - Whoa nice article! This really is my biggest game yet, bigger than Wayward Souls. Maybe Madgarden's too. I'll keep posting iOS news in here as it happens. We got caught up in AI tweaks for awhile. I'm also thinking of doing some better progression handling for both versions but mostly for iOS. Getting points in the game, using those to unlock new traits. Having those points unlock perks. Points also being used as a repeatable resource once you buy everything. The progression in the current version is kind of dinky, it's too easy to ignore.
Great article. Eli has thrown the game as GOTY contender. I am really happy for that and hope that buzz translate into sales that Rocketcat and Madgarden both really deserve. Congratulations!
Really cool news. I've had about 20 plays and I'm about halfway to maxing the perks so that a great idea.

Big update out today for PC! Mostly working on achievements now, since we need to do that for iOS anyway. Also looking into revamping the progression soon, in time for iOS. More control over what you unlock, more unlockables.
Loving the feeling I get in that trailer. Awesome and unique as always. Amazing music that we would expect from your games.
Can't wait for this release. I've been keeping up with the kickstarter for almost 2 years and instabought when PC came out. Freaking love RocketCat as a developer.
Thanks! Looking into better progression. Unlockable traits via getting points in the game and then spending them would be cool. Also upgrading perks with points rather than the current method of training things. Maybe even having some perks be locked at first, too. With a progression points system, would also need something to spend points on when everything is bought. I'm thinking of maybe small starting advantages. Like spend a bunch of points to get a couple of pipebombs in the trunk first thing.
It would be interesting to see how you would accumulate points, with different phases in gameplay. Maybe get a progressively increasing set number of points each day you're closer to Canada? On other news: and I've finally reached Canada for the first time with the help of Rambeux/Rambo! With so many new content added within a short span of time, I feel spoiled compared to how iOS updates work LOL
I couldn't help myself and start playing again on PC. This is just great. I hope the controls get done right, because is GOTY contender, for sure. Great addition to iOS.
Something like this for points gain, yeah. iOS updates have an approval process, which slows things down a ton. So iOS version will benefit a lot from the rapid updates from PC, we'll be able to take those and push them to iOS. Thanks! Movement should end up similar to WS, though still need to think about if there's a better way to do the buttons. I think we may be stuck with buttons just because pickup/use is nearly the same importance as attack. And attacking is nearly instant, which puts a damper on WS's swipe system.
An invisible stick for movement plus some buttons for the action sound about right. Depending on the amount of buttons needed, you can also use sections of the screen for them, configuring the transparency of the buttons themselves in the options menu.
I'll be there, no booth this time though. Yeah buttons might be ok since there's only 3. Just need to see if there's other options.
Let us die hards test it and we'll let you know what we think! Come in Kepa!! [emoji1317] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We'll maybe do some sort of Toucharcade forum contest later on, for Testflight access. It would involve going on a special CONTEST branch of the game on Steam. We'd put the password for it in here.
Ooh, I'm highly interested. Just wondering, is controller support planned for this game? Btw, great work. DRTC is fantastic.
