Change the touch control settings to 0 deadzone and 99 dragzone, and this should simulate a fixed stick pretty well.

Still playing this. Still having a ton of fun. I admit Im referring to the Wiki as I'll never see all the depth by myself. Havent time to play that much.
I finally got to Canada and OMG had a few heart stopping moments waiting at that final gate.

However I havent seen a chainsaw for ages in any game. Had enough gas to saw down several forests too, like 240? Managed to win with an assault rifle, fire axe, and Rambo.
My one sad moment was my iPad ran out of power as I was pondering whether to buy a knights sword or the Claymore. Once it restarted, the trader event was gone. Only time Ive had enough food to buy those!

Where do you find chainsaws? Factory? Sports store? Pure randomness?

Something that bugs me slightly is that those cabins with a back area nver have anything back there. Would be nice to scavenge more fuel or something. Otherwise, theres never any point to all the zombies prowling there.

There's some places that you can find chainsaws, like hardware stores or cabins, for example.

If I am not mistaken I have found gas on the back. Not sure, though.

Yes, that seems logical. Guess I've been unlucky with chainsaw finding.

Another flaw is that fairly often the person chosen to do a task that requires a skill eg mechanical, is not the person with the highest stats for it.

Also, unless I'm blind, it appears that people to be rescued, or found, arent in the rooms when you first enter. I've killed all the zombies, gone away, and returned to find a happy dog or person waiting for me. Zombie guts are everywhere so they must be tough cookies and have hidden in the ceiling. :)

After playing this game for very long time i still think this game is too unballanced. I won most gamemodes so its not frustation speaking.
It is just many times pure luck to reach canada. There is not so much skill in this game. Once you find out that u need to run in circles during sieges its not that hard. And the skull mace is a bit overpowered in my eyes. On my last runs i went for destroying every zombie in every room and on every map - even on sieges. And it worked. All you need to do is always go for food and never for fuel. Then buy the best weapons and thats it.
But what i really dislike are the random events that can destroy even the best run. They seem to be thrown in without counting in anything you have managed before. Of course you can learn which option to press best but thats all. The game seems sometimes to be just unfair. And this point i really don't like about it.
But i had my fun with this game.

And one last point i dislike: the sound of the air horn is so damn loud. This is the reason i never take the sports fan with me on a journey - i really cant stand the loudness.

I just found out a chainsaw in stash in the woods ABL.

I have never had this issue when the person or the dog appeared when you reenter the room. It might explain, though, why I didn't find anyone a couple of times.

I'm not sure how often it happens but I'll try to get a screenshot.

Im doing the Longest road mode and managed to kill everyone bar the dog in about five days. Lol I really shouldnt be allowed to play this game - I also managed to throw a molotov at my car while trying to switch weapons at the trader camp. That's something I often do. My thumb slips upward.
Was on the last siege with four people and kept ducking into a house to grab grenades or bombs. Three times in a row, in spite of being aware of my clumsiness, I did the same and flambéd everyone. Restarted it - crispy people again. Hilarious. I'll have to try this with a controller.

We can't reduce the air horn volume due to how the sound synthesizer works. I'm afraid to mess with it because the volume might double by accident. Maybe triple.

In other news I picked some characters that were suggested for this thread! We'll see which ones make it in for the next update that we're submitting next week.

Oh new characters are probably one of my top 3 wants in this game :) I'm excited!

I hope to get some more customization for outfits / faces as well eventually.

I think we're going to look into unlockable customization stuff. Our update schedule is so crowded right now that we haven't been able to confirm anything.

Would love this. I'm a bit of an rpg lover so things that I can improve/ unlock make me want to keep playing. Even when I kill everyone by accident half the time.

I don't know if this is already implemented or not, but I was wondering if you could add a feature where if your party has high enough fighting stats they could have a chance of not taking damage when fighting bandits (depends on how strong the bandits are aka weak first timers-super buff sport bandits) and if you have really high stats you can raid their stuff. I think this could help so you don't have to always give up your stuff when you have a beserk character in your party. (P.S maybe weapons could play a factor too?)

Sometimes things like that happen. There are certain characters that help with bandits. You can't raid them though.

I finally made it to Canada.
    Actually, I died.
The Wiz took my wife and left my body being munched on by zombies. He refused to use his magic.
They traveled together for awhile, picked up a dog (she loves them) but she met a bloody end as well.
The wizard gathered a couple other partners, Liz and Dona who identified as a he.
In the end, loaded with a ton of bullets and the wizards might staff skills, they all almost made it... s/he Dona got surrounded and sacrificed life for us and for the sake of diversity and inclusiveness for all.
    ...
This was my first encounter with the crusty, greenish-skinned Wiz, so hes probably a common special, isnt he?

    Really fun game!

I meant like you don't need to have the bandit trait to cause it to happen and the only thing you need is a high strength stat, fitness stat, shooting stat, etc.

I didn't mean bandit trait. There's a combination of stats in which you can have some outcomes on these events, like scaring the bandits, for example.
