Not a valid argument, the main thing that im saying is that the game does not have that much of replay value and it's totally not that random.

This game is pissing me off now. It's getting very cheap and unfair.

Right. I was more so saying it would be cool if the dev eventually made a sequel or spin off with some of those elements I mentioned... it could be like a DRtC themed game but different game play mechanics.

Perma death should be just a hardcore game mode for hardcore players. The controls are bad on iPhone 6 plus. Overpriced and I didn't feel like going back for more than 3 runs.

Wasn't too sure about this one. I'd heard a lot of hype, been bitten (excuse the pun) one too many times to just dive straight in. £7.99 is steep for a mobile game in my books. Eventually took the plunge after watching a couple of gameplay videos.

    Impressions?

Well, after L*nk (treasure chest held high), Carla the gun-toting cyber chick, Rafael the dog with his trusty frying pan and Bridget, the kung-fu master with an amazing inability to be able to shoot a loaded gun, all got set upon by a horde of zombies hiding in the small back office of an abandoned umbrella factory and were promptly chewed to pieces one by one after 2 solid hours of gameplay, I sat staring at a death screen with nothing to press but 'Dang it' thinking.....

    Wow. Just, wow.

    Love it.

The music doesn't bother me but I agree with most everything else. Same items, repetitive events memorizing what to select for the right outcome, no unlocks, painfully difficult.

I digress, you can unlock new modes but not new items. What keeps me going back to binding of Isaac is the COMPLETE uniqueness of each run. Different items, different enemies, different bosses and unlocks. Here it's the same small item pool, identical enemies (makes sense it's a zombie game), same events, spiced up with some unique characters and different vehicles.

Though I did enjoy beating this game a couple times, I see marginal replay value and don't see pickin this up again for a while.

However, hats off to the Dev for their "premium" game with premium pricing. I know many people love this long anticipated creation and I admire your involvement in the forums and wish you success.

At the end of the day I got 8 hours of entertainment for 8 bucks so I consider the money well spent... just not well invested.

That is control customization done right. Every iOS game should legally be required to offer the same level of customization.

The next update will bring this in line with the PC version. This update will have some new characters, weapons, and the ability to sell high quality weapons to a new trader.

Thanks! We haven't been able to do a "pure content update" yet, though we've been adding content a bit at a time (for months) as we add features. I'll keep some of these things in mind for future updates. And, to be completely fair, Binding of Isaac as you know it now has been in development for 6 years. I think that includes 2 paid DLC packs and a full reboot/semi-sequel. It was more repetitive when I played it 5 years ago.

Just died near Canada borders in a 1.5 hours siege.
Had 4 healthy pgs and was stuck in a one room house.
That was honestly cheap and boring design.
No unlocks, not even a freaking tombstone like Organ Trail, just a cheap, unsatisfactory death and a waste of time.
And please, if the enjoyment is in the trip, at least let me read what happens at my own pace.
I'm sure sone characters say funny things, but i'm not allowed to read them.
Is it that difficult to put a manual text forward?

Yeah we need to add those unlocks. Was planned for launch, but got delayed to the next update. They'll be perk/trait unlocks to start. If you have more ideas, list them. Someone else wanted hats, too.

I think when we add a manual text forward for the road text, we'll have to put in a way to turn off the manual text forward. At the same time we should probably add sections to the options menu, to sort in the extra options.

I agree that the closed house siege has killed me a lot of times when I started with the game. But to be fair, I simply learned from my f*ckton of mistakes and eventually got to win a run.

The 1.5 hour siege is actually the first part of the final test to see if you did your food and weapon/ammo stocking or skill training properly. If you have a team with at least decent fitness and a couple of pistols, you should be able to handle the one-room siege. If your team has low fitness, heavy melee weapons with stamina penalties like the wrench is a bad idea--- get baseball bats, cleaver, tire iron, hammers etc instead. Also, shotguns are also good for low shooting stat. Buying a few pipebombs also help a lot to thin out the horde as long as you don't get caught in the blast. Getting a chainsaw (random or bought) goes a long way.

Player skill-wise, learn how to kite zombies while your team is dealing with the incoming zombies. This may come naturally for some, while noobs like me learned it through dying a lot. Don't let the feeling of cheap deaths discourage you because reaching Canada makes it all worth it.

Doesn't the games description say Perma-death and suggest you will die a lot? Also any reputable review must mention these facts multiple times.

While you're entirely entitled to you opinion by requesting non perma death, or making it so you don't die so often due to random mis fortune would be similar to purchasing GTA V and suggesting they remove car theft and make it a side scrolling shooter.

In short the mechanics of the game you are requesting changed are the very foundation of the game. Were u looking at a diffeeent game before you clicked "purchase" by chance? It sounds like you purchased the wrong game.

LOL, this made me chuckle because it's so spot on. Too many people suggest major changes that, like you said, change the very foundation of the game.

I'm going to go tell Activision to add perma-death to all of their Call of Duty games to make it more realistic. And maybe take out the guns too, people should use words to solve problems

This is the best Oregon trail style game I've played. Only had a half a dozen runs due to life being busy but I'm loving it.

I think I've found a small bug. I swap a shotgun out of one of my characters slots with a rifle from the inventory. When I did this the shotgun disappeared, and was replaced by a rifle. Every time I tried to do it, another rifle would appear in my inventory. It's difficult to explain, and not a big deal. Just thought I'd share it.

    Otherwise, an amazing game.
