i always get to like day 5 or 6 and then get killed by an event or get ganged up by hundreds of zombies and get eaten xD still love it it bits though
For people who say people don't support premium games, this is at 11 overall on the app store and 7 overall in games, will probably go up.
I'd settle for a day 5 at this point... Also still very much enjoying it. Not sure I love it as much as other people on this forum, but it's probably the best iOS game I've played in 2017.
Why do my characters suck? I made custom characters and when their stats get "revealed" they seem to be terrible at absolutely everything. Is this RNG or what's the deal here?
Recruited "Horse", the one pictured on the icon, but he doesn't seem to attack; with or without weapon. Wiki indicates he won't use firearms, but it seems he doesn't attack at all. What's the point? Had similar experience with the Body builder, would just flex and grunt. He could throw stuff far, but only when controlled. Hate to make these oddball characters the leader just to make them useful. Anyone else run in to these two?
Yup you usually start with poor stats. One of the main objective of the game is to improve character stats and skills by training and events. When you have reached a certain amount of training, the stat bonuses for the specific perks improve universally for both custom and random characters. Horse Spoiler runs really fast, but can't attack. He can be used for Looting where you can make your teammates rest in the car and run around zombies. TLB (The Last Bodybuilder) Spoiler shakes off zombies when he flexes. In sieges with no throwables, he's not very useful, but when you get to a map like junkyard and tunnels, he can pick up and throw scrap cars.
Quick question. Is it possible to just reverse the buttons? For some strange reason my instincts direct me to pushing the wrong buttons.
I understand the whole upgrade process but please clarify. You said they USUALLY start with poor stats. Does that mean they do not ALWAYS start with poor stats? Could I create the same customer character with the same appearance, perks, etc and have DIFFERENT stats? Please confirm and thanks for the reply
You can move the buttons the way you want on config screen. Yes, you can reverse them. You cannot customize characters initial stats. The initial stats are somewhat random. Depending on the perk your char increses automatically some starting random stats, like strenght.
[whatever she was named]-chan is so kawaii. I think I refer to her as Melting-chan in my head-canon. Thanks! I tried getting into Cataclysm DDA but I think I somehow lost patience for Traditional Roguelikes really complex controls. I remember trying to figure out how to open a locker and then dying and then not playing again, haha. Might try it again after I beat Brogue. You just have to wait for the right special character to obliterate everything! Thanks for the video! The only toilets with toilet loot are the closed ones. They also sparkle, like a vampire. Here's my idea: Adding the entire staff of Toucharcade and they're all wearing diapers. Yeah I'll take your idea and make it better: They're all wearing diapers. "ugh change my dipes" says Shaun "ugh no im the boss of you, you change MY dipes" says Eli This is pretty good. We were thinking about adding rare, custom trading camps. Going further than rare traders, it would be an entire area full of special traders for just that area. I think this was slotted for the Anniversary Update though, which is in July-August or so. You increase the levels of your perks. Check the perks in Custom Characters for info on this. We need to signpost this better... I was going to make an entirely new perk/trait system where you earned trait points instead of your perks just kind of invisibly going up. Pls help us go higher. Tell your friends about the wonders of toilet loot in Death Road to Canada. Force your friends to buy it this weekend. No RNG with customs (except for a few perks or traits that have a slight random element). The perks kind of suck until you level them up. This is the thing I was talking about above that we don't signpost well, yet. Some of the special characters need to be leader, yeah. Especially the Last Bodybuilder. The wiki might be wrong, Horse is actually the opposite. He can use guns, but not melee weapons. Yeah, go in control customization in options and you can slide the buttons around wherever you want.
Oh sorry, what I meant was, any characters (random or custom) usually don't start with very good stats unless they have the three-star perk. Saved custom characters will also save their stats (even when some are hidden from the start of each run). I'd suggest to build trait/perk combos that stack specific stats. For winning-focused customization, I try to make a couple of practical characters (medical/mechanical focused), and some fighting builds (strength/fitness focused). That way, I can have my fighter focused on looting/sieges/strength checks, while my buddy passes the other event skill checks. Don't be limited to my suggestion, though. There are a lot of ways to play and win the game without the focus builds I mentioned.
Thank you. I will just resign myself to the fact I suck at the game. Can't beat it yet but my best run got me 2 days away.
Spoiler Rambeux, Horse and Mason. However, Mason killed off all party members so I had to do the final siege with just him and then the last level
