I'd definitely look to see the guy from Punch Quest and Lexi from Mage Gauntlet as cameo characters in Death Road
This is from twitter: @rocketcatgames: Death Road to Canada news: Better level editor is being made by necessity. Schedule's a bit off now, may still make October for early build. The October build is for PC I guess.
With respect for the development teams, I won't go into specifics, but according to the backer-only updates it looks like various location and vehicle artwork is coming along beautifully. Unfortunately, they won't be making their October release goal and are instead shooting for (if it is decided that a December release isn't a wise marketing decision due to timing) a release early next year. Wish 'em well!
Just to give a bit of insight into what's going on on the dev side of things... I'm focusing all of my effort currently on the map generation code so that we can have convincing and widely varied locations to loot and explore. This means different kinds of "cities" or levels, filled with different kinds of level-appropriate locations (buildings etc.) containing location-appropriate rooms, and all dynamically generated and populated with loots and undead. There are many different graphical themes as a part of this generation too. So they won't be the same old same old boring cookie-cutter locations each time. It's all a bit tricky but, everything is rock solid thus far... and that's a high priority in my book. Lots of testing of each new little piece. Takes time though. Here's a little screenshot of me testing an industrial location generation... note the new (animated) film grain effect: Will post more cool shots once the whole map puzzle falls into place. Dev typically involves boring periods as a bunch of systems work happens under the hood with not much instant gratification. I added the film grain as a quick "treat" just to keep things a bit fun for me, heh. There's also an 8mm film effect I have working that has flickery scratches and dust and such (think Year Walk or the movie "Machete"), will likely have it in as an FX option. l8r t8rz
It's good to get an update. I'm sure the game will be great and a day one purchase for a lot of the touch arcade forum users, myself included.
Ah sorry, been so busy. Also taking a bit of a break over the holidays. Here is my dev folder full of misc screenshots and such, might be fun to comb through: http://madgarden.net/junkz/madgarden/zombeh/
^^^ I second this. From October, to December to the start of this year... We need information. Actually no, we need this game. By 'the start of this year' do you mean the 10th of Jan, or like March? Any updates?
In related news, Kepa from Rocketcat just posted a new gameplay video of Wayward Saga on Twitter and I think Facebook.
About a month before the iOS release. They're doing fine, though I can't figure out where they're all coming from.
The steam release is a month before the IOS release. I'm pretty sure going by this information the IOS release will be a month after the Steam release, which is a month before the IOS release. What update??
