That is really awesome(The picture above)! Also, Rocketcat Games(Kepa I think)said that only kickstarter backers will get to beta test. That comes as a sad news for since I want to beta test this game(A LOT!!)but I guess that is for the good since Kickstarter backers payed for it when some of us Toucharcaders didn't.
The point of a beta isn't for you to play the game early, it's to help the developer make the game the best it can be.
Really happy that the beta will be coming out soon but too bad I was too late to back the game. One MAJOR thing I suggest you guys do is to heavily observe the game because then we could improve the game even more for the final release and make it the game we've always wanted. I would love this game and rate it as GOTY for the rest of my life if there are teletubby-like creatures with some sort of powerful ability like randomly kamakazying in a large group of zombies then someone in the survivor group would shout out "NOOOOO, PO! *Cries*"
Oh cool, I see you've put a new time system in the latest picture. Should come in handy to us players.
Apparently I've heard Madgarden say somewhere that you guys are aiming to shoot for a Halloween release? This is what I've heard from Madgarden.
Hallowe'en would be cool, not sure we can hit that though. If not, it'll be in post-Christmas-sales January.
On the Greenlight page, they added a new estimate of release, is says 1st quarter 2015. Also, in the August post, it said they got two new programmers, which will certainly help the game.
There's been a nice little update on the kickstarter page for anyone who's wondering. Even though they probably won't make the 1st quarter deadline, I'm still pretty excited in knowing that things are really coming along with the added help.
It's in heavy development... updates mostly on the kickstarter page: http://kickstarter.com/projects/1297103658/death-road-to-canada-permadeath-road-trip-simulato/ But just the other day I was figuring out a way to put lots of guts on the floor.
He's active on the threads for Wayward Souls and Five Card Quest, both of which are receiving big updates. Wayward Souls is also coming to PC soon. As far as I know, development continues on Canadian Death Highway.
