Found this on the Greenlight page, posted on April 28, We see the light at the end of the tunnel for all the procedural generation stuff we've been doing. The really time consuming thing, indoor generation, has been done for a bit. I've been working on that system further with room design, and am continuing to add new things to it. Mostly surprise events and the like. Currently we're making the cities be designed a little more interestingly. You spend a good amount of time outside, running from huge swarms, between ducking into buildings. This is much easier now that we've done the indoor location generation. We've been settling back in to gameplay design, but we are very eager to go 100% into that. Especially looking forward to adding tons of rare events, easter eggs, and weird characters. This is the actual fun part of making Death Road, and will be much more interesting to show off. We plan on doing a lot of videos once we're in this phase, and that's also when I want to get more involved in the comments section and press. For now we're just keeping our heads down and working. Thanks again for all the patience! Sounds like they are getting close!!
It's almost unplayable for me with the Rogue than the Warrior. I want to finish the game character by character and it's impossible right now. So that's why I'm sitting idle and waiting for the update.
Wasn't posted yet. Here's the May update about the game: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/updates/173687938
Damnit, how'd they know I keep my turducken in the toilet? Game is looking great. It definitely looks ands sounds much more "Madgarden-y" and the humor is pleasant as usual. Inside buildings looks a good bit different from the last time I saw. Seems far more constrained. Not sure if I like the new style better, but I'm sure I'll warm up to it.
Right now I'm cobbling together a buttload of varying buildings artwork into procedural templates for generation at the town street level. I added a chainsaw the other day. Still needs some work, but it goes BZREEEAAAAAAAW and puffs out clouds of exhaust. You will be able to basically hold the button and continuously saw zombies and things with it, at the expense of fuel.
Early Version Wish I could get an early version of this game on my mobile device! Few hours, I got Wayward Souls!
Yea the plan is to try really hard to hit Hallowe'en, otherwise release in January because the big boys will take over the Xmas-season sales.
