No. Paul is not on the Wayward team. He is working as fast as he can on DR2C.

Madgarden is one guy (Paul). Kepa is part of (founder, I believe?) of RocketCat. Madgarden is working on DR2C, and RocketCat is helping him a bit and publishing DR2C.

Wayward Souls is being worked on a separate team composed entirely of members of RocketCat.

Kepa, being the founder, obviously plays a part in both.

The development of the 2 games are almost completely unconnected and unaffected by each other.

If Wayward Souls doesn't get released by next week Thursday then I may use the last of my money I saved up for it. I'm just super disappointed with all the delays.

 

You can't rush a good game. I hate waiting as much as the next guy, but I also love high quality games.
