Stop teasing me. My mistake I didn't back the developers, but honestly, the last thing I need is for someone to say that again before I lose it. I'm not abusing you or anything, it's just that I'm going crazy waiting for this game I think I accidentally ate a finger when the game got delayed, hmm....
No kidding. You get a couple of screenshots/vids and about 7, maybe 8 years of buildup between announcement and release. Rocketcat are my favourite iOS dev, but there's always waaaaay too much waiting, and there's always a dustcloud blowing around the newsroom. Give us something new to talk about! Or better yet, release the games! We want to pay you!
Two devs I can handle waiting for, patiently, are Madgarden and RocketCat. The wait always comes with an amazing game at the end of it. Maybe more developers could take a lesson from them and take more time and make a better game.
Let me start a conversation here. What would you guys do if I said I was sent the actual release date of DRTC and had it for 2 months without informing anyone? Or what would you do if you wake up and browse the App Store just to find DRTC sitting in the 'Best New Games' list as a surprise release?
I'm confused. The platform has only been around for 6 years, and the App Store for 5, and in that time Rocketcat has released 5 games. Even if the timescale was a tired attempt at sarcasm, I had no idea Rocketcat were even known for extended development cycles (except possibly for Wayward Souls). Personally, I hope they push the release back another year if the end result is a better game for it

Well, that "tired attempt at sarcasm" still managed to confuse you, so pat yourself on the back for that while I peel my palm from my face. Like it or not, private circumstances/other excuses notwithstanding, Death Road to Canada, and Wayward Souls especially, have had ridiculous windows between announcement and release. I've played the whole "I'll wait until pigs fly if it means a better game " card with these releases. It's past that now. It's into "I'll be surprised if it's not vapourware" territory. I'm probably the biggest Mage Gauntlet/Hook series fanboy on these boards, so please take what appears to be barbed comments for what they really are; disappointment from a die-hard fan who's been made to wait with bated breath for too long. I feel like a Guns n' Roses fan waiting for Chinese Democracy to come out. In fact (TRUE story, I swear on my life), while at the Guns n' Tour tour for Chinese democracy, I actually sent Kepa Auwae a tweet telling him that I was so hooked on Mage Gauntlet, that I was playing it during the concert! But honestly, if you're an MG fan, and you can go all the way back to the very beginning, when the "Mage Gauntlet follow-up/Mage Dungeon/Wayward/Wayward Saga/Wayward Souls threads first started showing up in the Upcoming Games section way back when, and tell me you're STILL waiting patiently?!? Well then welcome to sainthood, you've earned it.
Sorry to hijack the thread, back on topic. Bring on Death Road to Canada Nothing us Canadians love more than to see our country in satire through the eyes of Americans, that's comedy gold to us!
