Death Rally [Releasing on March 31st]

We have a winner!

Each one of us gave a vote and the winner is Piascyk's "Max Pain - defeat an enemy with each weapon type"

We chose that achievement because it encourages players to try out the different weapons. In order to avoid lawsuit with this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxx_Payne or the current Max Payne license owner Take Two we're changing the name of the achievement from "Max Pain" to "Spectrum of Pain".

We'll still choose one additional achievement as a secret.

 

Congrats Piascyk's! I am disappointed that I did not win though.

 

Well, because I will probably never play multiplayer games anyway. Indeed I do hear about a lot of people who drop out, mostly intentionally. Perhaps it could be a negative achievement toward total points to discourage quitting, however it would still be an achievement if you want to get them all. I doubt they would use it, but I thought it would be somewhat funny.

 

Thanks TimoVihola and Serian. Death Rally has always been one of the greatest racers so thanks for making it better! Also I vote for the dual stick shooting racer too, if you don't make it then I will have to Thanks for the opportunity and good luck on your future games.

Could have gone with Maximum Pain to keep the vague allusion to the character...

Will you tell the winner that they won? I assume you wouldn't want everyone to know, otherwise the achievement might not be a secret. I supposed if the achievement selected was from a person who submitted several ideas just knowing who won would not be too much help.

i think for the secret one no... it be pretty cool to extend it for the secret achievment.... we should of gotten this idea earlier

Fireball926, that's right! You can still post achievement ideas and they will be considered for the secret achievement. Already suggested achievements are automatically included for consideration. March 15th is the final date to post an idea, because we gotta leave some time for implementing it

Secret Achievement Ideas:
Psycho: Complete the game with every character using every weapon and upgrade combination (C * W * U combinations, so quite a lot)

Hard Grudge: Complete the game while only taking out the same rival car in every race

!(Rocket Man): Only use rockets in every race, but never hit another racer with them

Hard Sell: Only purchase/use the best upgrades/cars in the game, never anything else

I Like Options:Finish the game using every combination of game settings (e.g., sound effect off, flip controls, etc). I would say that an option slider, such as sound volume, would either be on (any level) or off.

I <3 iTunes:Finish the game while using iTunes music for every race (music == off)

Dedication, You Has It! or Dedication For The Win!: Complete all other achievements at least twice each!

 

i dont think you can use iTunes theyll get sued by apple because of copyright maybe i<3music

 

Hmmm, maybe. I wouldn't think it would be an issue, especially if they put the TM or C on the end if needed. If they released Death Rally for Android...then it might become an issue.
