Achievements: Central Heating: Pass five cars while on fire. Show-off: Wait 10 seconds on starting line after start... then win. Rust Bucket Champ: Win race in the worst car on track X. Insurance Nightmare: Destroy own car 5 times in one race. Skid Marks: Leave 5m of burnt rubber on the track, from skidding. Zero-2-Hero: Start at back of pack and hit front within 20 seconds. 360 K.O: Knock an opponent out, while doing a 360! Hitman: Kill 3 opponents in same lap. Pole Dancer: Knock over 5 power poles in one game.
Did I Do that?!- Take out all opponents at the same time, with one weapon. There Can Be Only One- Use only one weapon for an entire race.

Drop Out: Intentionally quit 10 multiplayer games (probably good for after multiplayer added) Dizzy Duke: As Duke Nukem, complete twenty 360 spins in any race and finish first Flamer: Catch on fire in every race and finish in first place Strategy UPS: Never make a left hand turn, always do a 360 to the right in a race Flipper the Friendly Dolphin: Flip your car in all four directions (N,S,E, W) in a single race Underachiever: Finish every race in 2nd place Eye Bee Edumacated: Finish every race in 3rd place There Will Be Blood: Destroy every oil barrel in all of the races Stay Within the Lines - FAIL: Drive a constant snake like slither (right to left and back repeatedly) in one race and finish 1st Medic!!: Catch on fire and get back to 100% health in a single race
Game is shaping up really nicely. Only crappy thing are explosions, they look too unrealistic and weird, especially in second race. One question, as Mountain Sheep is working on this, could firing button become stick (or can we have setting for it) so you could control shooting direction. It would be interesting to have dual stick racing game?
Interesting idea about dual-sick racer. I think that would dramatically change the overall game though, breaking its classic remake appeal. It might be interesting to have an unlockable car that has this feature though, like maybe a hummer or some type of tank. Maybe this could be an entirely new game mode as well.
It's the last chance to submit your achievement ideas for the competition! ojtitus was asking if the game is universal or not. We are not 100% decided yet on this matter. What would you players want to see, should we go universal or not? Universal build would have a bigger filesize but other than that it doesn't have many negative sides. It was a bit too difficult to play when the right stick was used like in a dual-stick shooter The game was built on top of the Minigore engine so it used to have the firing direction on the right stick when we started doing it. For that same reason at one point the cars had John Gore's hands! It was like an official Pixar video game Moving cannon is a nice idea for an update, maybe a tank or something similar that the expert players can use. The explosions have received some extra love since that GDC build and we're still pushing forward to get everything as polished as possible It would be nice to have some tiny flying sparks here as well:
Rage Quit: Quit the race in the last lap while at last place. Epic Fail: Place last in 10 races in a row. Close Call: Place 1st while beating 2nd place by less than 0.03 (or however much sounds reasonable) seconds. Maybe Next Time: Place 2nd while losing to 1st place by less than 0.03 (or however much sounds reasonable) seconds. Bumper Cars: Bump into every car on the track in 10 races. Death Conqueror: Complete career mode(?) without dying once. Death Bringer: Complete career mode(?) while destroying every car in every race. Death God: Unlock every other achievement in the game.
I am about spent on my achievement ideas. I think I listed over 20, but I will try to think of a few more. +1 for a universal version. Currently I do not have an iPad, but I do foresee one in my future and my wife will be getting one. Size is not really much of an issue for me either. Any word on pricing yet? Will it be discounted at launch and then go up?

*Untitled Achievement* - Win the race while going in the wrong direction (as in go the wrong way, and do the certain amount of laps the wrong way before the computers actually win).
Sitting Duck - stop during the race, face the "wrong" direction, and blow the crap out of the oncoming cars when they come past on their next lap.
PLEASE don't use this achievement! Online games are bad enough for quitters, without encouraging them! Jeepers, why on earth would you want that in a game!?
