I'm worried about this too (app being made free because of upcoming in-app purchases). It would be so annoying.
I can NOT believe this is free, but it is? Why is such a great selling game free? Comon remedy, why you so stupid.
I don't think there is any need to worry. Its free for only a day because of Faad Remember spirits was also free due to faad and you don't see any in app purchases in it
Wow - Free !! Just downloading now. The iap seem to be boosters. I expect you earn them anyway so it won't detract from the game. Looking forward to having a go - takes me back to Rock 'n Roll Racing on the SNES.
I actually wont care much if it was from an indie dev because i support them but a major company.....
I have not only downloaded it, but have just obtained the interceptor car and have won "the adversary" race (Level "god", achievement unlocked: "king of death rally" or something similar). Now going on with more challenges (ammo races, no weapons races and so on). Perfect game...the only "racing" game I like.
Fantastic. Just like the old days........... Futuristic cars, guns etc. Can't believe this is free !!!
Just picked this up for free. I'm having some difficulty with the controls and find them to be too sensitive. I think I need more practice.
I got this game on the first day at app store. It's absolutely amazing. I love top view racing games since Road Fighter and F1 Spirit (MSX) and Nitro, Supercars and Roadkill. When Death Rally was launched for the PC, it reminded a me lot of the Amiga. Anyway, DR for the iPhone is modern and very nice to play. Well, my left thumb hurts a little bit, but, that's manageable. but... I still miss the old PC version. Why not include it as one of the game upgrades, or maybe as a second title at the app store: Death Rally Classic???
Ahhh, found it. Remedy -> Future Crew -> "The group was founded in 1986 by PSI as a Commodore 64 group" C64/Amiga forever! Original members, are still part of game design/development?
Hopefully it's just a lite version and everyone muddled it up with the paid one!!! Just don't get the next update, let some unsuspecting person get it and come here and moan and then we know for sure not to get it...

Well, yesterday night I had stomachache so, to not think about it, after taking a small bottle of Enterogermina I have played it for...hmm...about 4 hours EDIT: oh, and of course I used this tip: Spoiler If u want to grow fast in the game continue to make "The pit" race...it's short and u can win easily
The game is alright I suppose. Great graphics (though it has no illumination or reflection) but very short. Can't imagine how it was when first released since even now it's really short. Spent a couple of hours and I've beaten the adversary, maxed out all cars and weapons. And no, I didn't pay the $0.99 DLC. Still prefer Horror Racing for some reason..
