How does this game handles IAP?

Edit: Nevermind, read the last 5 or so pages and it was answered.

Would you be so kind and sum up those pages in one or two short sentences please? Thank you very much in advance.

Like most of us (assumed) I love reading/writing and I love playing as well and the job in a huge part of my spare time is to get the right balance of those challenges. ;-)

    Here...
there is one IAP, which gives you a cash multiplier. (good if you're having a hard time gaining rank)

    Death IAP

Thank you for your prompt answer, Guzzyo. "Reward Booster" should be translated to "Cash Multiplier" if I did understand correctly. And Death Rally goes a tiny bit "paid freemium" or something like that. Smells a bit like Smurf's if you ask me. ;-)

Here my contribution to clear up confusion (esp. for non-native speakers). Hint for ALL iOS users: Best tool for using and comprehending the beloved In App Purchases is the iPhone (here iPhone 4, works only in portrait mode though)…

In-App-Purchases of Death Rally viewed on German-language iPhone

…because neither on iPad, iPad 2 nor even on iTunes/Mac I can see the full description of the items and that's a real annoyance, Apple! Check iTunes on my MacBook Pro (maybe it's better readable in non-German-language iTunes and/or App Stores, anyone?):

IAPs have a very bad reputation. We all know that. Last but not least because of such minor flaws but they sum up. And I wouldn't be happy if a very good game that I've purchased and that I've recommended (the readers of my blog would shame on me p. e.) gets a bad reputation as well because of IAPs that were added in an update of the app.

"Top-In-App-Käufe" is a very very silly expression in German by the way.

Here a recent artice by Ars Technica:

Apple facing class-action lawsuit over kids' in-app purchases

And no, Mr. Hodapp and tA staff (see link below), we don't need ANY more freemium/IAP apps. IAP is dead in my honest opinion. Apple should have sorted out apps like Smurf's earlier but they didn't and now it's far too late to correct reputation. Why not create "paid updates"? I read three million times "free updates" in my App Stores. Was there a "paid update" at any time? Anyone?

touchArcade: The App Store needs freemium games like…

I know personally a lot of people who automatically skip apps without exception when they see mentioned IAP anywhere. Devs (if they can't avoid IAPs by all means) should definitely give clear and multi-language explanations of IAPs to stop any confusion at first! It's NOT my job or the job of forum members. The official explanation of Death Rally's IAPs in my App Store is…

…(there is no German translation of the explanation and the game is English-only as well) and I can assure you that ninety point nine percent of non-native speakers and casual gamers don't have any idea what is meant with that. I love puzzles but not when they are related to my real money. :-(

Thanks again for reading and in advance for ANY more descriptions on Death Rally's IAPs. Did anyone buy them and TOFT?

I would deeply regret if Death Rally goes Death App because of that dead IAP crap. Wouldn't be the first good game with this handicap…

It's unfair, people can buy results, then who will play hardly? Is it still a competitive game? It's shit like this.

Everyone else who has decided not to buy the reward booster stuffs . I'm having loads of fun without the need of reward boosters . Why do you want to complete this game so quickly ? eventually you'll get to the 148-150% completion point and you'll be like everyone else . All that matters is how fast you take to get there . It's that simple . Take a look in this thread , many people have already reached there so ...

it's just the matter of time, people wont get higher scores by buying IAP.

they just got more money and upgrade faster, which kills the fun.

who will pay for reducing the fun of a game anyways? :D

ROFL!!! Habakuk I google translated the first link of your sig and yeah... WTF!?!? :D:D:D:

Successful filthy grind and strength style, totally perverse and depraved locations.

Shouldn't this game be rated 18+ or something for the 'locations'? :D

Oh thanks. Good to know that you can make use of it in Asia too although it's German-language. More and more of my rare spare time that I have left for the blog I am using to figure out what those IAPs are doing. (And that was not my intention.)

Ha ha! There is always some fun with Google translations. In German-language it doesn't sound sexual. It should just point out that tracks and cars are in grunge/trash style (like Uber Racer Sandstorm, Race After 1977 and others—seems to be modern in nowadays) and not over-polished supercars and pretty exotic tracks like in Asphalt series p. e.

    Here...
To be fair, the IAP isn't much of a cheat... its easy enough to get to the top anyways ;)

    Bug or feature?

I had Death Rally "closed" in the multitasking area of my iPad 2 (newest iOS, never jb) for two hours or so. When I brought it up again I had to tap away 12 (in words: twelve) nag screens about Game Center (standard iOS dialog boxes). I have Game Center disabled.

I was afraid of this before:

    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=1694821#post1694821

Please fix this soon. Thx in advance. Is it a whack a mole mini game or what?

    us of a
Man after this last update the game keeps crashing whenever I try to select a level. Before these updates it played fine and I had nearly beaten the game. Now I've had to start over after I deleted and redownloaded this game, and it still crashes.

Okay, picked up for $0.99, but it took me about half an hour reading up on just what the IAP was all about before I took the plunge.

Devs: if instead of IAP, you just put a tip jar in the app, I'd probably end up giving you more of my money just on principle. I like the idea of rewarding devs of games I like, and I think most of us would be more than happy to drop a buck or two in the tip jar every once in a while just as an "atta-boy" for the attention you guys pay in this forum. Take a look at Humble Indie Bundle 1 & 2 as an example of winning hearts and minds.

Played for a good two hours straight, and I can say I'm addicted. I love games that involve a form of collecting XP to level up because I'll play constantly until I've maxed everything out.

Just picked this up on sale. The randomish offering of events, the special challenges, and the upgrade system give this game good legs it might not otherwise have. Driving controls seem fine to me and the game looks amazing. Sits nicely next to Reckless Racing on my iPhone. Will enjoy both and Touch Racing for a good long while. Keepers all.

Stuck at 146% . I don't know what I'm missing , Everything maxed out and I've beaten the adversary , killed him as well . Beaten marathon against a female rider (can't remember her name) . Do I need to do a marathon against John Gore as well ?
