    My Ideas For Future Updates:
    - "Playing With Death Mode" - A fun mode. Pick a challenge mode (normal, upstream etc.), a map and then hit race. Doesn't count towards your progress, but gives you some fame.
    - "Death Arena" - A decent sized square (or something like that) map, with about 4 - 6 other enemies and you battle it out to see who is the last car standing. Achievements could be like, "survive for more than 5 minutes."
    - Multiplayer - It speaks for itself.

Bought it for the new price and it's AWESOME!!! I can't put Death Rally down. What a thrilling game! Surely one of the best racers in iOS App Store with this type of view and controls (if not THE BEST at all).

Love the grunge style, the fast paced, absolute intense and explosive action. No problems at all with the standard controls and Cam2-view. You learn the tracks in both (!) directions (good morning Real Racing and Asphalt ;)) and get better all the time. Pure racer assumption: Find the ideal racing line and you'll be reliably awarded. Additionally: Equip your car with the appropriate weapon. Enthralling…

Relaxing: Smart auto-fill for the car and weapon upgrades and how you are guided through the challenges (just look for the red marked races) doesn't distract you too long from action.

Absolute smooth and solid gameplay on iPad 2. Fascinating graphics and sounds. Worth every eurocent I payed for. Plurally.

Don't say this too loud... you might get tarred and feathered by an angry mob.

Hmmm... I am not into the Racing Games genre normally, but I think I'll soon give in and try it out, too. Too many good reviews...

Hi Habakuk! Nice to see you here over at this thread. Hope you enjoyed your time in Infinity Blade as well. Truly loving this game too. The way they structured the overall campaign where you are presented with several different races with varying difficulties and a challenge here and there is very well-thought of and keeps things fresh. Can't wait for new weapons, cars, and hopefully an arena mode.

    Marathon Challenge

Just finished the Marathon Challenge. Even did it without pausing, for good measure lol. ;) In fact I think there should be a GC achievement for just that - "Completed Marathon Challenge without Pausing" :p Anyway, I don't know what other purpose the Marathon Challenge has other than that GameCenter achievement, as I really don't think any sane person would want to try that challenge again.

I dont know why I thought this was multiplayer. But the game is very fun without it. Love the graphics and the leveling up system. The laser is awesome. Great racing game with destruction.:D

I am normally not into RPG games and sword fights but Infinity Blade has made me change my opinion and I am sure Vovin will experience the same with racing games and Death Rally.

    Ack.

I am through with 43 % progress in one single session (cancelled several meetings) and this doesn't happen often believe me (btw love the statistics of DR). Career slots and bluetooth multiplayer WITHOUT the need of Game Center (like the Asphalt series) would be cool.

What does the new rocket launcher do? is it the strongest weapon in the game?

Yeah, you've just convinced me... (But I really suck at racing games...) *sigh* :D
My poor account and I have still so many games in my backlog!

LOL on the cancelled meetings. Hope you won't have a lot to catch up to because of those. I've gotten above 100% already, and I've only started playing it yesterday night. This game can really get addictive.

I can totally relate on the backlog thing. I have several games on that list as well (still yet to finish GTA: CW, Dead Space, and Chaos Rings). But Death Rally got me hooked as soon as I first loaded the game.

Do you mean the Striker? Haven't played this game pre-update, but ya I guess it's the strongest weapon. You're able to launch 3-5 rockets simultaneously (probably even six as I haven't maxed it out yet to see for myself). Although it doesn't generally phase out the Missile weapon because from what I've observed, the Missile causes both high damage and momentary freeze/slow-down.

Wow that's too bad. Try giving your device a hard reset. I'm also playing this on the iPad, but haven't experienced any crashes yet.

Well no, but I just figured out what the problem was. Originally I kept turning the device around and the screen would flip, but this time I didn't rotate it and I was finally caught.

May not be related to the firmware unless he's running a rather old firmware. I myslef haven't updated to 4.3.1 yet. I'm still at 4.3 but I've never experienced crashes. As soon as I downloaded the game, I gave my device a hard reset. It really helps, especially for large sized games.

Updating the firmware helped me with two games which were crashing, but I just saw that Seishu runs 4.x, so ok, my bad... ;)

    About the game:

LOL, omg.... I am sucking so badly in my first rounds... :D

edit: hey! I found out how to switch camera angles! Done better with angle 2. Still sucking.

Btw., how do I change my name from 'player' to my nick?

I've also had a couple crashes. Every crash happens right after going into game center...Either it immediately crashes or it flips the screen controls without flipping what I see. Needless to say im not going to hold the screen upside down and press underneath where I see buttons to get inverted controls. So I reset...as good as a crash.

Only other oddity I've seen is when the game starts the loading screen is the reverse of the game when it finishes loading.

Barring these two issues a great game.

I've gotta tell you buddy, grab it while it's just $2.99 (£1.79). You don't have to be into racing games to love Death Rally, but if you like lots of shooting and explosions, you'll love it. I'd rate DR at a solid 9/10. It really is that good.
