This might be the first endless runner I'll actually stick with. Not for the running or the endlessness, but for the combat mechanics, progression elements, setting and atmosphere. By now, the indie battle cry of "and all of this by just one dev" might be getting a bit worn out, seeing as single devs have produced and are producing amazing gaming experiences (Star Nomad 2, ya'all!), but this really seems to sit at the top of the heap (wildly swinging a katana at any other dev that dares to approach). (By the way, you know what really makes great melee mechanics even great-ish-er? A very hard to execute but highly damaging - or strategically advantageous - and visually satisfying counterattack, following properly timed blocks. Anything like that in DoaS?) (Also, if no one else in this thread has, I just abbreviated the shit out of your game.)
Thanks for the abbreviations! Glad that your excited, I'm extremely excited to launch this game. Still seems to be relatively unnoticed in the pre-launch market but hopefully it gains some attention as it launches. In terms of counter attacks and really advanced mechanics that is not currently in the game but I'd definitely be looking to enhance the combat mechanics post the initial launch. You can currently block / dodge and essentially the game relies on well timed attacks instead of hacking & slashing without purpose.
It's been a while since I updated you guys on the progress of this game. We have since launched on google play and are working on a large update before we begin to bring it over to iOS. Check out the launch trailer and let me know what you think!
I'm wondering too. I anticipated this game so much. I waited to be part of the beta and never received the beta invite. I can't wait to get my hands on this one. It looks so fascinating. Billy
Hey guys! Apologies for the delay! I've had the game on google play collecting user feedback that I'm about to feed into a set of updates for the game. Please please please don't tell me it will have a double currency and some kind of "pay for more life" or f2p, I saw a few worrying stuffs on those screenshots. I'd rather pay 10 dollars to have a full premium than a f2p.
I wish everyone was like you and I create it as premium only! Its current F2P on android and I am still deciding if it will follow the same model on iOS. May be worth publishing a premium version first on iOS to test it out
Maybe f2p with a premium iap so that I can happily give you what you think it's worth, and count on me for purchasing it ^^ make that iap remove all ads, timers and double currency
