Man, that would be so sweet to have the best looking zombie game on iOS this thursday Between this and Cod/BO zombies it will fulfill my zombie needs on mobile.
Well, as a general rule, a hd version of a game is an iPad version of the game that is not compatible with theiphone. Plus retina display support for the new iPad is very new and generally most games that say retina support are generally referring to iPhone retina support. Generally, developers will say in the description if it has retina iPad support but most don't say at what resolution it's running at. Some games that are described as hd, say Galaxy on Fire 2 hd as an example (which has a non hd version), are basically the same game just with added effects and more detail. They will look substantially better than the non hd. In this situation the best comparison is hd tv versus non hd tv. It's hard to answer about the games you mentioned as I haven't played them but the general rules above are a good basic guideline. Any game you have a question about, just check out their thread here as people are quite good at answering here and the developers actively take part on threads here so a lot of the time you can ask a developer a question directly. I hope that helps. It's a very broad description that lacks a bit of detail but it's hard to be very specific because general rules tend to be broken every now and then.
That's got to be this Thursday. F-yeah. I have a feeling Gameloft is releasing one of there titles as well. This is gonna be a great week
I hope I'm wrong & it would be released earlier....But why would they do that when they(Madfinger) can keep building up the anticipation.
Your response is good in that it confirms that my general confusion is not misplaced when it comes to determining the exact specs for a game. I know that if I were a developer, I would list exactly what is in the game, but obviously details are often left out. To use Espgaluda II HD once more, it is a perfect example of this. If you look up the game in the store and read the specs, it says : "ESPGALUDA II will only run on iPad 2 and up. All other devices are incompatible." This isn't true since I downloaded it onto my iPhone and it plays fine. You also said that as a general rule HD is meant for iPad, which is what I thought too, but the HD version of Espgaluda II definitely looks better than the SD version, both of which I have compared to each other on my 4S. It's easy to see what I mean, just download the lite version and compare (if you have an iPhone 4 or above). And yes, going right to the forum is where I find all my answers, but we should be able to know the specs of a game just from the description the developer puts out.
They should release this on or before the end of the month. The wait for this and Shadowgun Multiplayer is killing me!
Seems like the wait for Shadowgun: Deadzone could be awhile....I dont think Madfinger has a target date yet. Hopefully before 2013...
Well , they originally said the game was being launched by the end of June so we can take that as the truth. I think it gets confusing though when they say on twitter and Facebook only a few more days to go which carries the implication that it will be this week. If not, why not just say only a bit more than a week more to go as opposed to a few days. Then they posted here that it would not be launching this week but had a smiley face rather than a frowns face. Colour me confused. Looks more like 28th is the launch date at this stage though which is more in line with the original statement of late June.
I hopes to gods its releases ons the twenty eighth days of the sixths month of two thousand twelve. Been looking forward from beginning.
Meh. No co-op is a dispoimtment. I'll still buy it in day one, but a zombie fps without co-op? Come on! This just begs for co-op...
I agree, but maybe in an update, or when they get the shadowgun multiplayer games servers up they could also set up servers for this game.
I'm a bit disappointed also about the no Co-op.... Still a day one purchase for me. Zombies does take on a special element when your playing multiplayer. I must have racked hundreds of hours on Cod zombies playing the maps with various players. This game is so good looking that if they eventually add in the Co-op, I can see them selling a lot more copies. Anyway I'm thankful that Madfinger decided to make a Zombie game, can't wait to purchase !!
