Yeah I just don't see the point in downloading the game on iOS 6 for one mission. I'm kinda bummed at this turn of events. I thought that Madfinger would just have shadows and some textures, shading removed for older devices. I'm sure they could make a ton of more money making iOS 6 compatible but whatever.
Well that wouldn't be true now would it? The inability to progress isnt by design; it is a bug or glitch that clearly needs to be addressed.
Well I'm enjoying it. It is very similar to the first one, I just hope there are more maps and variety in the future campaigns. I'm up to Africa at the moment. First thing I did was turn auto fire off as well, I prefer to play my games
Yeah, sorry for stating earlier that it did work (well for the first mission it DID...urghh). They really need to fix the problem where some people can download an "older version". Guess I'll be playing this on Android because I'm not upgrading to iOS 7 just for this. It would be nice if MadFinger could jump in and explain why iOS 6 wouldn't work. At least on a 4S, it certainly should be possible based on how well it looked and played. Why not just state that iOS 7 is required for controller support? Also for people saying you should just upgrade to 7, well there's OTHER games that don't play well on it as well as other possible issues.
Another potencial great experience ruined by freemium. I wish it was like Fifa 14 and I could pay for the real thing...
I am getting really tired of all these games that need the Internet for no apparent reason! So many games these days won't let you do a single thing without the Internet even though there's so much single player to the game. I'd like it if games actually made it so you could play offline without the Internet for the parts that do not need it and just require it for sections of the game you can play when you want to with Internet.
internet connection required?? IAP, timers, internet connection required, iOS7 required... what not to enjoy...
Yeah, I hope this always online thing can be removed, iphones and ipads are portable devices, shouldn't have online requirements for no reason.
Gorgeous game. I played the first but it was boring after a while. I hope iap or repetition didn't kill this one. First level in and no complaints
The game is free to download. Once you understand the freemium model, you will understand why a developer implement DRM. By allowing you to download their game for free and not require to be online to play, they're awfully susceptible to hackers/jailbreakers bypassing whatever timers and game features that normally push people into IAP. If this was a game I paid money to download and own, I would agree that I should be able to play it whenever, wherever, however. Hard to make that complaint about a game that you can get away with not contributing a single cent to.
Guys, I suffered from the iOS 6 issues (have deleted the app until I lose reasoning and install iOS 7, if the app gets fixed to work on iOS 6 or until I get a good Android device when I get a job) and I don't think you should be calling a game absolutely rubbish just becuase it doesn't work for you. That's like me absolutely lambasting GTA V for not having a Wii U version, it makes no sense whatsoever BTW, from what I played, I loved and I seriously wish that the iOS 6 issues weren't there so I could experience a whole lot more of it
I guess a lot changed since June... http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2854282&postcount=741
Normal mode is pretty average, but I've been playing on hard for that extra cash, it's quite a challenge indeed! And for those who complained about only 6 zombies on screen in DT (I was one)... Well that problem is definitely solved! I saw at least 2 specials and 10 normals onscreen at 1 time with no lag on my iPod touch 5!
If that is true, why can iOS 6 users even download it and play at all? Is this a fiendishly clever tactic to get you hooked by allowing you to play the first few levels then snatching it away? That would be pretty sneaky but admittedly, effective. Just don't see what Madfinger would stand to gain, other than alienating a whole whack of potential customers.
