Thanks, but there was a couple of real nice guys from Madfinger did all the heavy lifting. Its good to have you back. Time to put in some arena scores for me to aim for.
Oh, i´ve been busy clearing the city. Gonna play some arena later today, let´s see how that goes. And if anyone wants to add me for leaderboards, i had to come up with a very unique name as "grace" was already taken. Feel free to add: janeitals
I really wish Ian Madfinger would re implement monies for fixing barricades. It give one something else to do on assault or defend mission. More multi objective mission would be good. For me, they are by far the most enjoyable.
Oh, hey Rip. Nice to see a familiar face around here. I just started playing this. Finished 3 campaigns, gave Arena a try, now I'm liberating South Africa. And hello to everyone else, too! Ps: 24 hours for lvl 4 upgrade? Man... Ps2: Do add me! I am ezgihatun in the game and ezgi hatun in GC. Just mention you're from ta.
Welcome If I were to give any advice on this one its upgrade the tech guy first. I've mine up to level 8 and the rewards are much better and he has to be upgraded to upgrade the rest of everything. I'd focus on the gunsmith and the medic at that stage and then the engineer. The tech guy is the key upgrade. He will take 1-5 days depending on the level so bear that in mind. You can also use stuff while it is upgrading. The key is definitely upgrade as much as possible at any opportunity and play at hard level for greater rewards. You can get a lot of gold from the tapjoy thing as well which cuts down the waiting time for upgrades. All you have to do is install, run them once and then delete. It is a bit awkward but it is free gold and worth it in the long run if you want to keep it free. I bought some packs myself but I also got a lot of gold from tapjoy and watching videos. I definitely would recommend it for a backup log of gold. The M4 and the desert eagle have turned out to be my favourite weapons for no real reason. The Scar and the Spas shotgun are extremely useful. I just like the m4 for some reason and the desert eagle is a beast. Explosive chickens are great fun as well and at level 7, they decimate groups of zombies. Auto heal is okay but in reality the painkillers are better and faster healers. Hammer is the best melee weapon but machete is pretty good second place. Also, keep an eye out for the golden pigs. Always shoot them as they give a decent bit of bonus cash. And the arena is a very handy training ground and a handy little earner.
Wow, Rip! A lot of useful information here! Yeah so I intend not to pay and I already realized that pretty much everything is set up for me to pay. I'll definitely do those tapjoy free golds after a hard boot because atm they won't load for some reason. Also I'm having crash issues with my ipad mini 1 (which I guess is not recommended) and it's becoming frustrating. Dude, I wanna play, let me play... As for the tech guy, it's costly and time consuming but I see why upgrade is a must. I think I'll leave the game open overnight, else it's too much time. What about weapon & explosive upgrades? I upgraded my mp5k and frag grenades so far (mp5k is 2 and grenades are 3) also the painkillers to 3. And I also replaced my wrench with a knife. Anything else worth upgrading? What about the smuggler? I think my favourite weapon so far is the rocket chickens from the easter gift package. A flying explosive suicidal chicken is plain hilarious. edit: Hi Grace, thanks for adding me!
I really like the Garand and the twin uzis. Grenages give you good bang for your buck. I would second Rip's point about ranking up your smith, medic and tech. My trech is at level 9 and the money is rolling in. All the best.
You're welcome. Always good to have more people on the leaderboard. And do Sentinel missions always on hard, they're pretty easy most of the time. My faves in the moment are the M4 and the Dual Uzi for quick close combat. And on another note: I'm really surprised in a good way how good the IAPs are handled. Sure one has to wait, but nothing is really locked behind a paywall. I'm spending my gold from achievements on money boosters, cause I don't need it for a weapon. Thank you MADFINGER
I didn't bother with the smuggler myself. I found no real use for anything in there personally. Replacing wrench with the knife is an excellent idea. I held on to the knife to upgrade level 8 and it was always an excellent quick kill, and responds really fast. Others have mentioned the other weapons. I just took to the m4. It served me best over all the levels. Scar has much better range and slightly better damage at level 8 but the M4 is a quick reload with plenty of ammo and the quick reload will be very important later on. Damage from Scar is better but it has caused me problems with magazine capacity and reload. And the grenade is an essential early on. That's another one I've kept at max level I can I relation to tech level. You just can't beat a maxed explosive chicken though. Huge damage and highly entertaining. I'd get some of the other chicken accessories as well. The explosive chicken that draws the zombies to it is worth it for entertainment value. It's not really terrible effective later on but it is definitely amusing. The chicken with the gun on its back is quite funny too. I must upgrade them some more to see if they are useful later on. I noticed one thing you said about leaving it open overnight to upgrade the tech guy. Now I may be misunderstanding you, but you don't need to leave it open for the upgrades to work, they'll upgrade away in the background whether you open it or not. Just obviously enough get in the habit of setting them going before you switch off for the night and you won't even notice the time go by. I did that with just about all of the upgrades I did. And the time may be a bit of a pain but to be fair, it's very well balanced and as long as you keep upgrading tech, in game currency will never be an issue. And as long as you remember to set off an upgrade before you close the app for the night, you won't even care about the clock. Don't forget, you don't need to leave it open for upgrades to continue, they work away on the server side once you've started them and irrelevant of whether the app is open or not. Now if I misunderstood you in that, which is very likely, sorry, but just to be cautious I said I'd say it just in case you thought it had to be left open, it doesn't.
Hey Larni, thanks for adding me, and the twin uzis sound like carnage & fun. Unfortunately I have no blueprints whatsoever of them. I'm going to say having to upgrade a tech to upgrade a smith to upgrade a gun is a little bit too much. Besides while upgrading the guys can't produce anything. I made the mistake of upgrading before producing enough consumables and ended up being able to only do sentinels. I'd love to see some rebalancing on this, either unlocking produce option, or shortening the upgrade times a little. Haha, man, I'm such a noob atm! For some reason I just thought it took in-game time for the upgrades. (and my ipad has been open overnight, sigh...) So, which mission types do you guys enjoy the most? When I have enough explosives and painkillers I really like doing supply - runs. I stop and rain bullets on the zombies after picking up the last crate. It's fun and I make twice the cash. Also, how much do you guys play daily? Couple of hours? +6 hrs anyone?
I prefer the missions like operations or fuel runs. And the multi part missions that come up from time to time are best. I don't care for assault or defend as much because they have fewer objectives. Don't for get to tap the tiny little tapjoy icon at the bottom of the tapjoy offers screen to go to the tapjoy website to get better free gold offers. I got 2600 or so gold simply by downloading then deleting apps. As an aside, I bought the coin doubler and have not regretted it. I reckon I play maybe an hour or so a week.
Oh and btw, I got a weird gameplay moment yesterday. During the Africa campaign, in one of the mine missions, I walked away from the car into the mine and soon I fell down an invisible hole in the ground and landed on a glitch-place. No structures, no zombies, I kept walking but arrived nowhere.
Ah the ole falling off the map glitch. Happened to me once but I was on a weak connection so I think that had more to do with it because I couldn't reproduce it later on. If you get a chance if it happens again, get a screenshot because one of the guys from Madfinger does read here and passes on the feedback. I do like the sentinel ones myself when you're the sniper. It entertains me a lot following the bullet. Mainly operation ones though like Larni. And Larni, that was a real nice haul from Tapjoy, nice one.
Not sure if anyone missed it but there is an Easter pack that you can download for free until the 25th. It includes a 24 hour speed booster and 4 different items (10 of each).
In the Easter pack someone had a transaction in progress, please wait, I'm more than 2 hours in this state, if I exit the app then re-enter and insert again the voucher it's not that say: You Already Use It? someone else experience this? REMAIN in stuck on the transaction? EDIT: After a 5 hour on loading pleas wait,i close The app from The background, then when i open it pop up The easter pack..
