I just turned off auto firing. It plays like an entirely different game far more enjoyable. I think it was a mistake to turn it on by default. Auto firing just made me feel I was playing an on rails game. Without it it plays a lot more like DT1 but the sounds spoil it. The audio on DT1 gun sounds were much better.
No worries. I understand it from your side, and besides, I've already got 1000s of games I'll never finish... lol Now I'll just have a head-start on getting through my massive backlog before January. I was however really looking forward to playing with my "fowls-in-arms..." DBC
Hi, The real joke of DT2 is you can not play OFFLINE !! that is ridiculous for the iPod and iPad device without internet connection.
They didn't choose to ignore a segment of the community at all. It's very clear from the reviews on the App Store for a multitude of apps that a lot of people don't read the description. It's also very clear that a lot of people on here don't even read the description considering the number of games that are clearly marked as not compatible/supported by certain devices yet there is a multitude of how does it run on those exact devices that are not supported. If one was to be logical about it, in order to avoid disappointing people and avoid bad reviews from people whose device is not supported well then iOS 7 only is the best way to do it in the current scenario. That much should be very obvious. If people who can upgrade to iOS 7 are resisting it, that's not the devs fault but as the uptake for it is at the highest of any so far (despite opinions to the opposite, the facts and numbers relating to the uptake still stand) its still the most valid option. Also, toucharcade is not the only game in town when it comes to feedback. Devs have a lot of other stuff to do at launch other than posting on a forum. Particularly a forum whose membership has not exactly been kind to them the last time. There is other press and media responsibilities never mind the ongoing work that they have anyway. It's neither compulsory nor even that relevant anymore to come here considering the amount of stick devs are getting around here lately from people. Replying in a certain way isn't going to inspire any developer to come back (as should be obvious by the drop off in dev interaction in comparison to a year ago) particularly as they have other media in which they can interact better with their public. Facebook/twitter/google +/email/support etc. and simply enough they have their own forum in which to interact a lot more directly with their actual customer base. To keep them coming here it might be better to consider playing nice rather than picking a particular decision they've made and criticising it to the ground as much as possible.
Rip73 you talk for nothing !! that is the solution !! 1. Download latest version of Dead Trigger 2 with iTunes 2. Download and open iFunbox go to Raw File System /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist" on your device and change version to 7.0.3 and respring "open SystemVersion.plist with the notepad" 3. Install downloaded app with iTunes 4. Return in iFunbox Change OS version in "/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist" back to your original version. 5.
To be fair Rip73, I've tried to take the high road on this one in not calling the game trash, etc., for not supporting iOS 6. I've tried to be logical and level headed. Devs can do what they want. To be honest, there is no perfect way to eliminate certain devices and that's Apple's issue. But to say they aren't ignoring a segment of their user base is a bit off base as well. As I mentioned before, whenever a new OS comes out, it's typically those more aware of the problems that can come with it. I'm sure there are gamers who wish they hadn't updated to iOS 7 and many others that won't if they know games they play may not work yet. It's perfectly reasonable to expect that some people will wait until a release is stable and you can feel more comfortable updating. So while MadFinger intended to use it to eliminate iPod 4G and iPad 1 users, you can't ignore the fact that that comes with some undesirable side effects. In a perfect world or really a sensible world, Apple would give devs the tools to explicitly choose which devices are compatible. At some point, I'm sure the same mix of hardware not working with some games will exist on iOS 7 as well. Anyway, I think it's unreasonable to jump down the throats of people who are just wanting the game to work on iOS 6 when it would work on newer devices, including my 4S. It was MadFinger's decision to use iOS 7 as a filtering mechanism just as much as it's our decision to not upgrade to iOS 7 for just this one game when there's thousands of other games, including any other new release I've wanted to play, that continue to support iOS 6.
Just as a side point, those who change their system version number on the device itself can look forward to many crashes on many apps and open themselves up to many problems. And that's not "talk for nothing" considering the source on that is an actual Apple software engineer.
GUYS!!! can someone explain me why the last....like 100 super zombies i killed didn't drop a single weapon scheme?! does it mean now i'm forced to pay it with the premium currency??
I played the first few hours with it on and was liking it but as the difficulty ramps up and you use the shotgun and then the m16 for long range kills, it just doesnt work well....and the auto reload will screw you repeatedly. The game is far better without using autofire.
Bad luck i assume, I am running into a dry spell too...i get to 90% of fulfilling the requirements for an item then i stop finding prints or find new ones instead.
The IAP is if you're lazy. Haven't seen any weapons or items you can only buy with gold unless it's boosters. I mean unless dt2 is the only game you play yoh can do other things or do mission while timers are going. The campaign is pretty short, so if you're in it for campaign yoh may wanna pass.
A boss mode would be awesome. I wonder when multiplayer is coming and if it has coop(I hope it's not just arena) with a little work this could become as cool as left4dead!
On my 5s, the game isn't anti-aliased, which is one my pet peeves in games with supposedly good graphics.
